Script 13: Nothing but everything

Start from the beginning

He didn't smell like alcohol, he looked completely sober and Chaewon would like to take any distraction right now so she agreed and stood up immediately.

Her friends didn't even bat an eye when they left.

Everyone was there to do whatever they wanted.

Everyone except Sunghoon who stared at them as they both left. Upon realizing Yunjin's feelings toward the short-haired girl, he can't help but feel like he should keep everyone away from Chaewon. Everyone but Yunjin.

So he watches them but never says a word. His eyes would soon find Yunjin who was also watching Jongseong and Chaewon leave.

He knew this was going to be really complicated soon.

Why the hell was Kim Chaewon leaving with Park Jongseong?

Yunjin was pissed off.

She thinks it may be because she drank two and a half bottles of Soju as her quote-on-quote Pre-game but she was definitely pissed off more than usual.

It also didn't help that she felt her whole face burning and her breath felt like a Dragon's with how hot it was.

It was definitely the alcohol.

She was alright a minute ago when Sakura suddenly came up to Kazuha, pulled her out of her seat, and then danced with her. Poor Kazuha wasn't even able to finish munching on her food when Sakura suddenly swooped in and took her with her.

She was definitely alright a minute ago when Aeri got up and left with Yizhuo.

She was definitely not alright when she saw Chaewon staring at her before leaving their table with Park Jongseong.

Because what the fuck was that?

Why was Chaewon out here being all nice to her because Kim Minju is back in her life again and then leaving with Park Jongseong in the middle of a celebration in a beach resort?

Huh Yunjin was definitely fucking pissed.

"Hey, you alright?" She turned and saw Yeonjun leaning on the fence beside her with a drink in hand. Sunghoon was there, too. Except he had nothing in his hands and he seemed like he wasn't in the mood to party.

"Yeah? Why are you both here?" She asks.

"You looked like you were about to set this place up on fire and that was very concerning." Yeonjun laughs and Yunjin rolls her eyes.

"I'm not in the mood to joke around, Yeonjun."

"I know." Yeonjun quickly says before taking a sip from his canned drink.

"We know," Sunghoon added, finally looking at Yunjin.

Yunjin looked at the both of them with a frown. She was confused. What were they doing?

"Want to walk around? All this dancing and the loud music is going to kill me." Yunjin didn't even have to think, she just leaned away from the fence and started walking away without saying a word.

The two boys were quick to follow knowing what Yunjin's answer was.

None of them really knew where they were going but they ended up walking around the beach. Away from the loud venue. Away from the partying and the flickering lights.

They could still see the venue and the dock but the music wasn't as loud anymore.

All they could hear now was the loud waves. The water crashes with one another as it reaches the shore.

It was a good thing that the owner of the resort added poles with string lights on them as it lit up the beach.

Yunjin hears Sunghoon and Yeonjun's steps as she watches her shoes sink into the sand a little bit while walking slowly.

"You know, beaches are really calming." Sunghoon comments and Yeonjun hums.

"I'm not really the type to talk about things like this but yes, you're right." Sunghoon chuckles and Yeonjun laughs at his own words.

Yunjin found them stupid but she smiled as she listened. "You two are ridiculous. You suck at starting conversations."

"Sunghoon's the only one who sucks."

"Shut up, Hyung."

The redhead rolls her eyes as she finally stops walking. She stood in front of a pole and she was under the string lights.

The water almost reaches her foot but it retreats before it can even soak Yunjin's shoes.

"So? What are your thoughts?" Yunjin shrugs as Yeonjun asks. She doesn't know what to say.

Does she open up about what she is feeling at the moment? How in disbelief she was when she saw Chaewon leave with Jongseong?

How she felt so pissed off that Jongseong could take Chaewon away that easily while she-

Yunjin sighs.

"We know you saw Jongseong leave with Chaewon. You don't have to hide it from us." Suddenly, Sunghoon crouches down on the sand and stares off into the distance.

It was dark out there. In the middle of the ocean, there were no lights. But they still try to look ahead as if they'd be able to see something.

Yunjin scoffs, "I'm not jealous of Chaewon-"

"We know you're not jealous of Chaewon. Who would even be jealous of Chaewon? No one cares about Park Jongseong!" Yeonjun jokingly added the last part, trying to lighten up the mood.

And it seemed to do the trick as Yunjin let out an airy laugh. She still sighed after.

"I'm glad we got that out of the way."

"But you are ... jealous of Park Jongseong." Yunjin bit her lip at Yeonjun's words.

She refused to say anything. She refused to react but Sunghoon spoke.

"You know, Noona," He was serious, "I noticed how you act around us. You're really quirky, you have a ton of jokes to say. You have a lot of opinions to share and you definitely have a very interesting personality."

Yeonjun only nods. He already knew where this was going.

"But with Chaewon..." Sunghoon laughs, "Chaewon gets nothing from that side of you. It's almost as if you disappear and you become a blank slate. No personality, no jokes to say, and no opinions to share."

Yunjin laughs, "Aren't you a clever one."

"But there's always something with the way you stare at her. Sure, you become almost nothing with her but your gazes tell so many things." Sunghoon adds and Yunjin fears that maybe Sunghoon has figured her out.

"What are you trying to say?" She asks.

"I'm saying that you become nothing but your eyes become everything."

Yeonjun looks up at her with a sly grin and he shrugs, "Excuse him, he's being very poetic with someone who has alcohol in her system."

He stands up and takes a sip from his drink before speaking, "He's asking if you like Kim Chaewon."

Oh.

So he did figure her out.

Yunjin looks past Yeonjun and meets eyes with Sunghoon. He didn't look disgusted nor disappointed, he looked gentle and curious.

Yunjin doesn't know if it was the alcohol in her system making decisions for her but she opens her mouth and sighs shakily.

What is there for her to lose?

If she tells them the truth, she won't lose anything.

And if Chaewon finds out...

Chaewon was never hers to lose, anyway.

So she laughs at herself pathetically, "It's Kim Chaewon." She shrugs and smiles at both Yeonjun and Sunghoon.

"She's the reason why I'm here."
