AS I MAKE MY WAY OVER TO BRADY i get nervous, i'm certain he's going to think i'm a creep and i'm worried his friends will think the same way. his eyes catch mine and he smiles waving me over to his group, the boy i had assumed was his brother earlier starts whispering and giggling with a girl who looked around the same age as madi and i, she looked familiar but i didn't know where from. "what's up" i had only realized just now that a was standing three feet away from him as i was too focused on his friend group "uhm, nothing really" "we pulled up to the beach and my friend recognized you and your car from earlier so i decided to come and say hi, now that we're not at a stoplight i can actually talk to you" he just smiles as his friends say they're going to find a spot on the beach and they'd text him once they'd found it.
i was fiddling with my fingers before deciding to give up since neither of us were saying anything "i should probably go" i point my thumb towards where my friends had walked off to "wait! before you go" i turn back around to see him fumbling for his phone "can you type your insta in my notes app" i laugh "seriously?" i smile at him before grabbing his phone and typing it in "sorry it's the only thing i could think of" he replies nervously "it's alright, bye brady!" i pass his phone back to him and i watch him stare at it "bye sasha" he says, still entranced by his phone screen.
"hey guys" i pant as i had to run across the beach to make it to the spot they had set up "soo how'd it go" chris nudges me as he fakes a "girly voice" which came out sounding like mickey mouse "good, gave him my insta but that's really it" "come on" madi says with a serious face on "there's got to be more to it then that" "i don't know we said a couple things and then we just got all awkward for no reason" "cause he likes youuu" chris continues to poke me whilst doing his mickey mouse impression "whatever, i just wanna go swimming" the sun was starting to set and i wanted to get in before it got too dark
