Script 10: Practice game

Start from the beginning

But she had her priorities set.

She finishes her own training for the day and heads towards their little practice room after showering. Her hair was still damp and her eyes were heavier than before as she walked along the halls towards the door leading to their practice room.

She thought she'd at least lose the sleepiness if she showered. Looks like the cold water wasn't enough to wake her up.

The basketball practice game and the rehearsals had successfully taken her mind off of their band practice but luckily her body was still functioning and her own feet took her there.

She pushed open the door and was greeted by her friends who were just about to start playing a song but immediately stopped when they saw her coming in.

"I thought you had basketball training?" Yujin had lowered her hands and rested the drumsticks she was holding on the drums.

Yunjin stared at them one by one with slightly squinted eyes. She looked sleep-deprived.

And she was, she refused to talk about her other activities, though, as she dropped her duffle bag on the floor beside the door before walking to her place, taking her guitar that was resting on the corner of the room.

"I finished basketball training. Thought I could catch up with band practice." She mumbles as she takes her guitar off of the floor.

"Don't you want to at least take a rest? You look like you're one cough away from passing out." Yunjin didn't even notice that Kazuha was there. Usually, she'd already be gone, being the ghost member of the band and all.

But today she was around and she was in front of Minji's piano, her fingers resting on one note before letting it go. Yunjin almost didn't even hear the sound. She looks like she's about to pass out and she feels like she's about to pass out.

She still stands, though.

She was too tired to even notice the look on all her friends' faces. They looked worried, brows slightly knitted together as they watched Yunjin's every move.

Who wouldn't be concerned and worried? Yunjin looked like she'd been awake for more than 42 hours, she looked dead and alive at the same time, it was ridiculous.

"What song are we playing?" She asks as she blinks a bit slower than usual. She avoids Kazuha's question altogether as she plugs her electric guitar into the amplifier.

Minjeong makes eye contact with Ryujin before speaking, "Are you alright, Yun? You can skip out on this one if you want."

Yunjin closes her eyes tightly, inhaling through her nose before exhaling through her mouth. Her nose was stuffy and her eyes were stinging, tearing up, even. Probably from yawning too much.

Her friends' words aren't even sinking in anymore. But she could hear them asking her once more if she was alright. If she needed to sit this one out and rest. But her brain couldn't even form a proper answer.

She just shakes her head slowly, "I'm good." she mumbles. She gripped her electric guitar tighter as she felt it almost slipping off of her hands.

When did her electric guitar get so heavy?

Minji turns to look at Yujin, questioning her without actually saying a word. Yujin shrugs, "Will you really be okay?"

By this time, Ryujin stands up from her seat, pushing the bass guitar towards Minji as the younger girl scrambles to hold it firmly. "You're not okay, Yunjin. You look like a zombie on drugs. You'll faint any moment."

She tries to reach for Yunjin's guitar but the taller girl steps back, blinking rapidly before her back hits the wall. She leans on it, using it to keep herself up. She felt drunk but she wasn't.
