Script 10: Practice game

Start from the beginning

Sieun looks at her in disbelief.

They can indeed go without her. It's not like they won't be able to function without Chaewon. Of course, Chaewon can attend, she's not busy about anything. She's done with everything except for the egg baby exam that she has with Yunjin which needs to be updated as soon as possible.

A frown makes its way on her forehead at the thought.

She's already dead set on not attending the practice game between ACE Academy and their academy.

Because what will she even do there? Sit around, and watch stupid girl jocks run around from one side of the court to another, trying to one-up each other by shooting balls in hoops?

Yeah, that is what she'll be doing there, exactly.

"Yunjin will be playing, attending is the least we could do to support her." And Chaewon was quick to look at her as if she said the most offensive thing ever.

"You've lost your mind, Sieun."

"I'm certain that I haven't, thank you very much." Sieun crosses her arms and stands in a confident way. As if that would do anything. "She's been working really hard for all of her activities, don't you think it'd be nice if she saw all the club members supporting her?"

"Just because I'm acting all behaved and quiet during rehearsals, doesn't mean I've become her friend."

That was just the truth. Chaewon wasn't being nice by lessening her rude behavior towards Yunjin. She's not doing it for her, she's doing it for herself. Chaewon admits that it's selfish but hey, at least the club members wouldn't be complaining about them always arguing.

She was no angel, she was the same hateful Kim Chaewon and Sieun should have already known that.

"You don't need to befriend her to attend a ball game do you?" Sieun stares at her with an unamused expression, looking really tired of Chaewon's behavior.

Chaewon rolls her eyes and shrugs, not even bothering to speak up to answer Sieun's question.

They stare at each other for a while and none of them seem to be wanting to look away, to admit defeat. But Sieun speaks up first, "Tell you what, I'll take off the kissing scene from the play if you come with."

Upon hearing those words, Chaewon felt her ears perk up. She immediately frowns and leans away.

What kissing scene?

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

Sieun scoffs, "Oh, you heard me."

She stares at Sieun a little longer than a second, waiting for her to tell her that it was all a joke and that there was nothing like that in the script. She doesn't talk. She doesn't take it back and remains on her spot.

"Are you being serious right now?" Sieun shrugs in a teasing way, making a face and Chaewon can't help but huff.

"Sieun, I swear to fucking God if this is a joke-"

"I'm not joking." Sieun cuts her off and now her teasing expression is gone as it's now replaced with a poker face.

"There's a kissing scene in the Goddamn script?!" The short-haired girl shrieked and Sieun didn't even care to cover her mouth. She can shout and scream at Sieun all she wants, but Sieun won't stop tormenting her until she yields and attends the practice game with them.

"There is." There wasn't.

Sieun lies through her teeth. Of course, that would be her way to convince Chaewon. Everyone in that damn club has their kind of mischievousness in them, after all.
