Script 10: Practice game

Chaewon was too tired to even think.

She had to study as soon as she was done with rehearsals, having to rush home just to save herself some more time so she'd be able to study more.

Sleep just in time, not too early but not too late, and then wake up before any of her family members are up to go to school.

Having to prepare for an event and then study for exams sure can be bothersome and tiresome. All she wanted to do now was go home and plop down on her bed, sleep until the next week, and eat something delicious once she was awake.

But she possibly can't do that. Not at all.

Chaewon also wonders what the meeting was about, if it was about something important, wouldn't they be announcing it first just to make sure that everyone attends?

Nothing was making sense, really. It must be because of Chaewon's lack of sleep, maybe because she's hungry, or maybe because her body's being controlled by one barely living brain cell.

She doesn't know, but it's one of those options, she's sure about that.

"Chaewon!" She was quick to turn around when she heard her name being called. She let out a sigh of relief when it was Sieun who called out to her.

No need to look for her any longer.

"Where are you going?" Chaewon yawns into her hand before answering Sieun's question, "Auditorium. I was looking for you."

"We don't have rehearsals today, remember? Last day of exams. Also, Yunjin isn't around. She's busy with basketball practice and band practice."

Oh, right. Chaewon definitely forgot about that.

Sieun laughs when she sees Chaewon's expression. Like she just remembered that information just now.

"Right. I forgot." She admits and Sieun nods, understanding.

"Also, was there a meeting?" She finally asks and Sieun is quick to nod.

"Yeah, just a quick one."

Chaewon blinks.

So there was truly a meeting earlier. It was good to know that Wonyoung was being honest for once. But not really good to know since Chaewon missed it.

She frowns, "Why wasn't there an announcement for it? Usually, there would be, right?"

There was something with Sieun's smile when Chaewon saw her lips curl up. It was a genuine smile but it was obvious that there was a different meaning to it than just her innocently smiling.

Chaewon immediately feels like there was a reason as to why there wasn't an announcement beforehand. And something tells her that she wouldn't be fond of that reason at all.

She was already looking like she was in pain before Sieun could even get a word in and it seemed that it was showing as Sieun laughed at her. "Don't be like that, at least listen to what I have to say first."

"I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt right now, Sieun."

The slightly smaller girl pats her shoulder, "ACE academy versus SCE academy, this weekend."

And there it was. The scoff that Chaewon was trying hard not to let out is finally heard. It's as if that was her body's initial response to Sieun's words. She takes a step back and Sieun is quick to reason with her.

"Hey- come on. It's a practice game for the women's basketball! We have to be there!"

"What do you mean we? I don't have to be there, you all can go without me."
