Script 9: Rehearsals

Depuis le début

A few minutes pass by and she hears footsteps everywhere, everyone's voice jumping around the walls in the room and she hears Eunchae's voice among them.

"Look at this unnie. Slacking off." She hears the playfulness in Eunchae's voice and she smiles behind the script that she laid on her face.

"I'm not slacking off." She says through the paper making Eunchae laugh.

"I thought you were asleep."

"As if. I can't fall asleep when my mind's filled with my lines." Yunjin takes the paper off of her face and opens her eyes to see Eunchae sitting on another sofa with Kyujin beside her. Yunjin's lips stretch into a smile as she makes eye contact with the other younger girl.

"Hey." She greets and Kyujin bows and waves. Sunghoon and Wonyoung walk past behind her, talking about the scripts that they forgot they stored somewhere around the small storage room backstage and they're followed by Sakura shouting, "If you two lose those scripts, you both are fucking dead!" before she stomps toward the two younger members.

Yunjin glances up at the three before chuckling. She hasn't heard Sakura get mad in a long while.

"Are they always like that?" Kyujin asks and Yunjin nods, "Always."

"She thought you'd be intimidating." Eunchae suddenly says, pointing at Kyujin as the said girl's eyes widen and she opens her mouth to argue with Eunchae, "I did not say that!"

"You did! You did one time and-"

"That's such a lie, Eunchae!"

Yunjin watches as the two girls playfully argue with each other. Yunjin wonders why Eunchae would leave this club when she has Kyujin by her side. She sees her everywhere with Kyujin, she wonders if Kyujin would leave the club too if Eunchae left.

Judging from how she acted, she probably would.

She smiles at the thought. She wonders then if she and Chaewon had started on a good note, would they be like them, too?

But they did start on a good note, Chaewon just never liked Yunjin from the start...

She pushes those thoughts aside as she feels a hand on her shoulder, she looks up and sees Sakura looking down at her. "Hey, unnie."

"Rehearsal's about to start soon," Sakura informs her with a soft smile, and Yunjin nods, sitting up and setting both her feet down on the floor before stretching her arms up in the air.

"Can we watch this time?" Eunchae asks and they both turn toward them. How could they say no with Eunchae's pout and Kyujin's wide sparkling eyes?

Sakura chuckles, "I'll tell Sieun." and she leaves before Yunjin can even stand.

"I'm excited to watch you, unnie! Can I call you unnie? I already called you unnie, sorry." Kyujin asks and Yunjin lets out an airy laugh, finding it adorable how extroverted Kyujin is. The total opposite of Eunchae's introverted self.

"That's alright, I don't mind."

She chats with both the younger girls as they head out of the backstage area. She learns a thing or two about Kyujin and Eunchae's dynamic in just a short amount of time and before she knows it, she's already performing back on stage again.

Despite entering the classroom early for exams, Chaewon's professor came in a little bit later than expected. He asked if he could add at least fifteen minutes to their designated time.

None of them complained, they'd be the ones losing time if they did anyway.

Chaewon sent Sieun a quick text saying she'd be a little late for the rehearsals. Sieun was understanding as always and it seemed like she was already in a good mood anyway.
