The cheerleader let out an airy laugh before fixing her hair and wiping her neck, "No one's talking about you and Yunjin's weird relationship here," she said, her smirk growing. Chaewon immediately connects the dots and she bites her tongue to stop herself from reacting aggressively.
"What? Cat's got your tongue?" Jimin teases and Chaewon rolls her eyes at her, "Shut up."
She totally forgot that Jimin knew about her one-sided love with Kim Minju. How could she even forget? Jimin was literally one of the people Chaewon ran to when she found out Minju was transferring.
But she, however, didn't know if Jimin was up to date with whatever was currently going on between her and Minju.
Which is absolutely nothing. She still hasn't read nor replied to any of the poor girl's texts.
"I know what's happening. Wonyoung personally told me when I bumped into her during one of the basketball team's practice games last week."
Chaewon winces and clicks her tongue. Curse Wonyoung and her loud ass. Why is everyone turning against her this year?
"Can we not... talk about this? It's giving me a headache." She mumbles and Jimin laughs.
"I'm fine with not talking about it, just want to remind you that the basketball team has another practice game against ACE Academy next week and we have to visit their school for it." Chaewon groans, "I'm not going."
"Do whatever you want, Chae."
Jimin pulls out her phone and fixes her hair while looking at her reflection on the screen. Chaewon finally enjoys the silence, save for the slight noise that they are surrounded by given that the cheerleaders are quite loud.
The silence between the two of them was becoming peaceful for Chaewon's ears not until Jimin decided to talk again.
"Speaking of, so how are things going with your club?"
Chaewon inhales through her nose before deciding to speak, "Rehearsals."
Jimin glances at her for a second before pocketing her phone once again, "You rehearsed with Yunjin already? Congratulations, didn't think you'd be able to survive that to be honest."
"I haven't." The short-haired girl simply says and Jimin rolls her eyes. She should have known. Chaewon was here in the field with the cheerleaders when she should be at her club, Jimin doesn't even know why she even bothered to ask.
"What's your plan? Are you just going to keep avoiding your club forever? And here I thought you'd do anything for the club. That's your top priority, is it not?"
Chaewon huffs. Jimin sure is good about doing these things. Prying.
Well, of course, she should be. She's the president of the journalism club after all. She has to be good at asking non-stop, she does it sometimes when they hold a very rare interview for the athletes and the smartest students in the academy.
Chaewon was interviewed once. She barely survived the questions. (It happened when the issue with her and Yunjin was fresh and it hasn't been a week since Yunjin left.)
And she's feeling deja vu from it.
"I'm not avoiding the club on purpose," Chaewon scowled and they made eye contact. Jimin had that look on her face that perfectly called Chaewon out for lying and Chaewon opened her mouth to speak once more.
"Well, I am avoiding them now but it's only because I don't want to be distracted with the club when I'm waiting to take the exams."
Jimin laughs mockingly at her, "So you decided to come here to wait? Aren't we, cheerleaders, distracting enough?"
