"Perhaps you've not seen me, veiled by a mask I wear," Chaewon responds, her eyes squinting a bit, almost taunting and in a teasing way. Yunjin chuckles, swaying Chaewon once more, "Perhaps I have not."

"You have not," Chaewon confirms.

"You've captured my glance." They stop, stomping their feet on the stage as part of the choreography. Chaewon is surprised Yunjin has already memorized it.

"You've laid eyes on me once," Chaewon airily laughs and she gently pushes Yunjin away before Yunjin pulls her back by her hand. They come face to face once more and Yunjin's smile grows, eyes turning into little crescents.

"Shall we meet again, perhaps?"

"We have yet to part ways." Chaewon tilts her head.

"I shall keep you by my side for the rest of the evening, then." Yunjin pulls her closer, holding her lower back and their noses almost bump before they pull away and dance more dramatically.

The three pairs come back to finish the scene after Chaewon and Yunjin successfully deliver their lines.

Chaewon almost forgets how this scene ends until they're the two people left on stage once again. Yunjin had her left hand on Chaewon's jaw as she reached to take Chaewon's mask off with her other hand.

Chaewon would playfully slap her hand away before taking a step back, a smirk on her lips. "I don't fancy spoiling the magic of surprises." she would say playfully.

Yunjin chuckles, smiling at her widely. That wasn't a part of the script.

The scene ends with Chaewon walking off stage, leaving Yunjin alone in the middle.

There was no longer music playing as their first rehearsal together ended. Sieun slowly clapped for them as she stood up from her seat.

"Did we do okay?" Chaewon asks as they walk out and appear on stage again, she is still kind of out of breath from all that dancing and talking. Once Sieun is close enough to the stage, she looks up at them with a pleased expression.

"Are you kidding? That was amazing! And here I thought you two would have a hard time acting together on stage."

Yunjin took off the mask as Chaewon stood a good distance away from her. They glance at each other for a second before looking back at Sieun. "I told you they'd do an amazing job!" Sunghoon says enthusiastically, pointing at Sieun.

Chaewon laughed at him as Yunjin smiled slightly.

The others were standing behind them as Sieun talked. The president was beyond pleased. They successfully succeeded at impressing her. "Take another ten-minute break and let's do another one."

Everyone goes backstage and everyone complimented the way Yunjin and Chaewon acted together. It was truly unexpected. Everyone thought they had good chemistry despite them not getting along well outside their roles.

The members were showering them with compliments and while Yunjin appreciated the words they said, all she wanted to know was what Chaewon thought about it. She knows others' opinions matter as well, it is important.

But she can't help but think about what Chaewon's opinions are about the first rehearsal they did together. She wanted to know if there was something that she needed to work on or maybe even fix the way she delivered some lines.

Anything, just to get Chaewon's approval.

Once everyone was in their own little world, done showering Yunjin and Chaewon with compliments, Yunjin walked over to Chaewon. Careful to put a huge gap between them.

Chaewon glances at her as she sees her stand beside her through her peripheral vision before glancing back down at her phone. Yunjin stays there for a bit until Chaewon can no longer ignore her existence beside her and finally talks.

"Need something?" She asks, sounding a bit mean and cold. But Yunjin's used to it.

She sighs and fiddles with her flannel before speaking, "Was my performance..." Her voice cracks a bit and she clears her throat. "Sorry."

Chaewon doesn't say a word, instead, she remains standing there. Waiting for Yunjin to finally speak up and continue what she was going to ask.

"Did I do alright?" she finally asks and Chaewon stares at her for a bit. She really didn't think Chaewon would respond to her question, it felt like Chaewon was staring at her as if she was dumb.

But Chaewon does respond. She blinked, "Just keep doing what you're doing."

And that was enough for Yunjin. She slightly smiled up at Chaewon and she didn't ask anymore.

Maybe she'll get a proper answer next time. Maybe even a proper compliment.

Next time.
