Script 9: Rehearsals

And Chaewon wonders if they'll look as amazing as they are now if she finally takes Danielle's place.

The scene ends and Chaewon snaps back to reality. She hears Sieun talking through her stupid megaphone from inside and she takes this as a cue to finally enter the auditorium. Chaewon pushes the door open and the cold air hits her entire body, immediately making her shiver.

"Oh, look who's here?" Sieun playfully says through her megaphone and Chaewon flashes her a grin before rolling her eyes.

"Why is it so cold in here?" She asks, shivering even if she is already wearing her black jacket. She zips it up to warm herself and stands still on her spot as Sieun walks towards her. She turns to look at the members on stage and Yunjin has already taken off her flannel, leaving her in her white sleeveless shirt.

She was sweaty and she was talking to both Sunoo and Sunghoon who were sitting down on the stage. Her skin was shining with the strong light glaring straight at them on stage. And Chaewon looks away before she gets too carried away with inspecting Huh Yunjin.

She won't lie. Yunjin has a nice, strong, and slim physique. She won't dare say that out loud, though.

As she turns, she has her arms crossed and she immediately meets Sieun's eyes. "They said they were hot," Sieun says, gesturing towards the members on stage. Chaewon takes a five-second glance back up on stage, meeting Huh Yunjin's eyes before hearing Sieun speak.

"I mean literally." She jokes and Chaewon groans, "I'm not checking anyone out."

"You're too defensive for me to believe your words." She teases further and Chaewon rolls her eyes, even tilting her head to the side as she shifts all her weight on one leg. "Give them 10 minutes and I'll join them with rehearsals."

Sieun nods and she walks backstage where she's greeted by Wonyoung and Sakura sharing a mini fan on the small couch. "Hey." Chaewon greets and the two girls look too weak to even greet her back, they must have been so exhausted.

Danielle enters the room a second later with Hanni, "Hey, unnie!" Danielle greets and Chaewon flashes her a smile, "The mics are with Yizhuo unnie, want me to call her for you?" she asks, and Chaewon shakes her head.

"No need, I'll call her later, you two should rest." She responds, getting out of the way for the two girls to be able to sit down on the couch she was standing in front of earlier.

The two younger girls sat down beside each other and Chaewon dropped her bag somewhere in the room. "I saw you guy's performance earlier, it was good." Chaewon gives them a thumbs up and Hanni chuckles as both Wonyoung and Sakura return the thumbs up with a matching tired smile on their faces.

"I don't even think I'd be able to top Dani's performance," Chaewon says with a grin and Danielle shyly smiles. "Oh, I just filled in for you for a bit, unnie."

Chaewon's smile widens and shakes her head, "You did really good! I wonder if I'll be able to pull it off like you did."

She was telling the truth. Danielle truly did a great job. She doesn't want to compete with the girl but she has always had this toxic trait where when she thinks someone's amazing at something, she backs off and even thinks that they could take her place.

Maybe that was the problem with her when Huh Yunjin first came around.

And Chaewon knows it's bad. Which is why she has been working on it herself. Her situation with Huh Yunjin, though, was quite different. It was more ... personal.

It didn't take long before they heard Sieun's voice through that annoying megaphone again. They all stand up once they hear her though. Chaewon quickly went on the stage, she refused to look Yunjin in the eye and the taller girl seemed to do the same thing.
