Keanu removed the pillow and pulled her close, enveloping her in his arms as he peppered her neck and shoulders with kisses. Mieke couldn't help but smile. "You ain't even mad for real; You just want my attention." he said between kisses.

Mieke turned over to look at him and smiled. "Yes, that's what I want. I'm not even hungry anymore, I just love when you kiss my ass."

"I'll eat it too, Whatever you say goes."

Mieke looked at the ceiling, "He's a good man, Savannah, A good man." She looked at Keanu, who was already looking at her, and placed a hand on his cheek, rubbing her thumb against his soft skin staring into his eyes. "I love you."

That was Mieke's first time saying those three cherished words in years and each syllable resonated deeply within Keanu. He'd literally be lying if he said he wasn't waiting for the day those three words came out of her mouth again.

The smile lingered on his lips. "I love you more, ma." he stated before leaning in to plant a kiss on her lips. His hand gently wrapped around her neck, rubbing it softly as he kissed her deeply.

Mieke pulled away from the kiss, a hint of frustration in her expression. "I can't believe we're going to be spending sixteen hours without seeing each other every day. Like, that is crazy."

Training camp is starting tomorrow for Keanu, and he has a rigorous schedule to follow.

He will be in Philly every single day for 16 hours, except for Wednesdays which will be his off day. This is going to be somewhat hard for them because they won't be able to spend much time together, especially since Mieke will be at work while he's training so she won't be able to go to his sessions unless it's one of her off days and by the time Keanu finishes practice and Mieke gets off work, it will be late and they'll both be tired.

On top of that, they won't be able to see each other every single day because although Keanu lives two hours away from the training camp and that's not that much of a drive, it wouldn't make sense for him to drive back and forth every day and mess with his rest, which he really needs.

"That shit is crazy," Keanu agreed. "I'ma make it up to you when camp is over though."

"Mhm. I can't believe y'all really gotta be out there that long. They're really trying to tire y'all out just to have y'all back out there the next day."

"Yeah, that's just how the NFL is," Keanu explained. "They don't care about their players health and wellbeing. All they care about is making money. It's a cutthroat industry we in, and they gon do whatever it takes to get the most out of their players. That's why so many athletes end up with injuries and mental health issues."

"Unt Unt." Mieke replied, shaking her head in disbelief. "That's just weird. Yall are putting yall bodies on the line and they don't care one bit."

"I've seen motherfuckas go crazy from all the pressure that comes with this shit and instead of the coaches trying to help them out, the coaches just drop them and stop caring for them. They take everything away that they worked hard for."

"They don't see yall as people with emotions."

"They see us like pawns," Keanu chuckled "They gon use us until we're no longer useful to them, then they'll push us aside like garbage. All they care about is the bottom line. It's a harsh reality, but it's something we gotta accept cause at the end of the day, we still bringing money home to feed our families, and that's what matters most."
