For a moment, I forgot to breathe as our heartbeats synchronized, creating an electric connection between us.

His voice, barely above a whisper, sent shivers down my spine as he said, "Sleep with me."

"Will you get up from me so I can sleep?" His doe eyes met mine, filled with affection, as he nodded and moved away from me.

He settled beside me, his hand lightly resting on my chest as he pulled me into a gentle side hug.

At that moment, I couldn't help but think how adorable he looked, even when he was a bit tipsy.

Bright

As the sunlight invaded my sleep, I reluctantly opened my eyes, only to be frozen in surprise.

Win was sleeping peacefully beside me, his long hair cascading over his forehead, partially hiding his face.

Questions flooded my mind.

How did we end up like this? What happened last night? Did I do something wrong? Why did I even drink? Maybe I shouldn't have come here in the first place.

But dwelling on the past wouldn't change the present. I saw Win shifting uncomfortably, trying to escape the relentless sunbeams. Without hesitation, I sprang into action, determined to shield him from its harsh glow.

I noticed Win stirring, clearly bothered by the sunlight. Acting quickly, I got out of bed and closed the curtains.

After ensuring Win's comfort, I retreated to the bathroom, my mind still racing with unanswered questions. Perhaps it was time to have a conversation with Win.

I took a moment to freshen up, splashing cold water on my face to clear my mind. As I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I made a silent promise to myself: to face the truth, to embrace the unexpected, and to see where this newfound connection with Win would lead us.

Win

I blinked a few times, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep as I sat up on the bed.

The room felt oddly quiet, and I noticed Bright busy with his shirt, carefully buttoning the cuffs.

"Good morning," I greeted him, my voice still groggy. "How are you feeling?"

Bright glanced at me through the mirror, his eyes meeting mine for a brief moment before he nodded in response.

There was something in his gaze, a mix of emotions that I couldn't quite decipher.

Rubbing my eyes to clear away the last traces of drowsiness, I looked at Bright, waiting for him to speak.

But instead, he remained silent, his expression unreadable.

"What happened? Did you want to say something?" I prodded gently, hoping to coax out whatever was on his mind.

But all he did was shake his head as if dismissing the thought.

"I have an early morning meeting," Bright finally spoke, his voice tinged with apology. "I'm sorry I can't drop you."

A pang of disappointment tugged at my heart, but I quickly brushed it aside, not wanting to burden him with my presence. "That's alright," I reassured him, forcing a smile. "You don't need to bother."

Left alone in the room, I took a deep breath and glanced out the window, the morning sunlight casting a warm glow. I realized that this unexpected encounter had brought us closer, even if it was just for a fleeting moment.
