Script 8: Chance

"I expected it to be him as well- well until I came up to Sieun and asked if I could be the one to get it," Yunjin says with an awkward laugh but despite Yunjin's awkwardness, Jaeyun flashes her a genuine smile and Yunjin feels bad for being awkward.

The boy only wanted to talk and yet she feels like she wants it to end quickly.

"I know you may have a hard time trying to get along with Chaewon noona while rehearsing but I promise you, just do your best and I bet she'll leave you alone." He flashes her another one of his genuine smiles and Yunjin returns it with a tight-lipped smile.

"Sorry, you must have found this weird." Jaeyun apologized and Yunjin was quick to respond.

"It is but it's fine, no need to apologize. Thank you." She was slightly panicking because while this whole talk was indeed weird, Jaeyun didn't need to apologize. Yunjin thinks it's unnecessary.

"I'll be watching the performance." He says with a smile.

"I'll be counting on that," Yunjin responded and she felt awkward saying it. She wasn't thinking and just blurted out words without even processing them first.

Jaeyun only laughed, though and Yunjin was quick to leave that side of the court as she waved at Jaeyun goodbye to go back to her friends.

On the way back to her friends, she feels eyes on her. Yunjin wasn't sure whose eyes were on her but she had a strong feeling it was either Heeseung or Jongseong. Maybe even both.

She continues walking back, nonetheless. Choosing to avoid that weird feeling. But how could she be too sure that the two men weren't holding a grudge against her? She might just have to trust Yeonjun's words on it.

"God... I want the practice to be over with." She mumbles as she collides with Kazuha and lets herself fall into her friend's arms, the latter cluelessly but happily catches her and pats her back gently.

Before Yunjin knew it, she was already inside her car, and with Kazuha's request to drive the vehicle, she sat in front of the wheel.

A goofy and very happy grin is seen on her lips as she grips the steering wheel. She looked excited and giddy. Yunjin had never seen her like this before so she laughed.

"Are you that excited to drive my car? You look like a maniac with that smile." She commented and Kazuha was quick to turn her head toward Yunjin.

She didn't look offended, she looked at Yunjin with a silly smile before speaking, "Mom rarely lets me drive the car. I thought you wouldn't let me drive your car, what if I crash it?"

"That's it, step out, right now-" Yunjin was quick to unbuckle her seatbelt and was just about to open the door.

"No, wait Yunjin! No, no, it was a joke!" She panics and grips Yunjin's jacket tightly, keeping her from leaving the car and the redhead laughs.

"I can't have you joking about crashing my car when you're at the wheel!" Yunjin said with a smirk on her lips and Kazuha smiled at her sheepishly.

"I won't, I promise."

Before Yunjin could even respond, someone screamed and banged on the window on Yunjin's side, causing the both of them to scream their lungs out.

The door to Yunjin's side opens and Eunchae peeks her head in with a huge smile on her face, eyes turning into crescents before laughing at their faces.

"You little-!" Eunchae was quick to step back before Kazuha could even get a hold of her.

The youngest of the three was still laughing when she stood in front of Yunjin's open door. The redhead on the other hand was still in the process of recovering from the sudden scare.
