Jaeyun's current state instantly brought Yunjin back to what Kazuha and the others were talking about before she went and walked up to Yeonjun.

"Why?" was the only thing that Yunjin managed to mutter out. Her mind is still stuck on her friends' conversation while asking.

Yeonjun had a small grin on his face, "Jaeyun wanted to talk to you."

"About?"

"Stop asking and just talk to him." Yeonjun pushed her forward but her feet were glued to the floor and her body almost didn't move at all despite Yeonjun's forceful push. Yunjin turns to look at him and frowns.

"He's still busy talking to Heeseung and Jongseong."

"So? They'll leave when you come closer."

Yunjin doesn't respond and only turns her head towards Jaeyun. Why does he want to talk to her anyway? Is it because she got his role? Or is it sports-related? Yunjin can't really figure it out. He has never talked to Jaeyun for a very long time and when she used to be a part of the club back then, they rarely talked.

She doesn't even remember what she last said to Jaeyun nor what Jaeyun last told her. That was how rarely they talked.

Plus, both Jongseong and Heeseung were there. Yunjin's not too sure about what they'll say to her now that she has taken their spots.

"Congratulations on getting the role, by the way. I honestly thought I'd be able to get it. I guess I needed more practice." Yeonjun says before chuckling, he had both of his hands behind his back. He sounded genuine and just sounded like he wanted to congratulate Yunjin about it, with no signs of teasing at all.

"Thanks." Yunjin mumbles and she stands there awkwardly before speaking again, "Do you think they'll be as chill as you are?"

"Who? Them?" He points towards the two boys talking to Jaeyun and Yeonjun laughs, "Yeah. Definitely! At least I think so." He ends his sentence with an unsure chuckle and Yunjin is tight-lipped.

"You think? They courted Chaewon for that damn spot, you think they'll be chill about it?"

Yeonjun only shrugs and pushes her by her shoulder, "Go and find out."

This time, Yunjin's feet betray her and she walks towards them on her own, stopping only in front of Jaeyun as the two other boys turn their bodies to look at her. It was awkward for a moment as none of them said a word. She could hear Yeonjun laughing behind her and she wanted nothing more than to slap him across the face.

"Hey, Yun." Jongseong greets cooly. He had a small smile on his lips as he spoke. Yunjin wasn't expecting this from him but here they are. "Congrats on getting the role, you'll do just fine." He pats her shoulder and walks away.

"Good luck with Chaewon." was the only thing Heeseung said before walking away as well, following Jongseong as they both walked back toward their team.

Yunjin felt herself wince at the sudden Good Luck message from Heeseung. She felt as if she'd be having a hard time trying to get along with Chaewon because of it but she sighed and turned to look at Jaeyun once more.

"Yeonjun said you wanted to talk."

"Yes. I heard you got my role?"

Yunjin only nods in response and Jaeyun smiles, "That's amazing. You know, I talked to Chaewon noona about this- Well, I just mentioned your name is all."

The redhead cringes. Why would Jaeyun even do that? Nonetheless, she doesn't ask, she listens.

"She wasn't really welcoming of the idea at first which is why this surprised me when Sieun noona told me who got my role. I was expecting it to be Yeonjun to be honest."
