Hi Owlies,

Happy New Year!

📌❤️A big thank you to 2023. You started very traumatic, but grabe ka bumawi. I saw how the universe conspired for my personal goals this year. From the smallest moments of victory, like clearing my medical exams at SLEC to passing my US Embassy interview, landing a very good job here in New Jersey, and when I thought that I'd be leaving the writing life for good back home, I got that Pop Fiction confirmation exactly when I stepped down at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. I got to know people—genuine friends to be exact—both in my profession and in this thing I call art. I honestly never expected to be in such a spot in life right now; akala ko ay habang buhay akong tambay sa Intramuros, and I would just look at my friends and batchmates and tick off their bucket lists. But life has shown me this year that if I move through God's will, anything is possible. A big hug to you in 2023 and a happy 2024!
