"No Goodmorning or nothing? Is Diamond is gonna be home and did you ask Grammi and Papa or Grandma and Granddaddy? They're always wanting to see their grandkids? Plus Tylah is sixteen." I say.

"Girl don't question me! Diamond been gone for two days so no telling when she coming home and I don't want them with your daddy's folks and my folks are going where we're going . Tylah is on punishment so I'll bring them by 2." She says.

"No. Meet me at the Walmart gas station at two o'clock with money for dinner." I say and hang up.

My mama is one difficult woman. I was sheltered growing up especially since my parents had me at nineteen so they were hard on me. I only had one friend, Dante, and she barely wanted me to be friends with him. She always thought because he was guy that I was going to fold and sleep with him and basically be a teen mom like her, but I didn't and I don't see him that way. I had to tell her I was going with my cousins, Jade or Paryss, before she agreed to let me go. Since high school we've been butting heads over small things, but I still love her with all my heart. She doesn't know about my house and neither does my dad.

The reason behind this behavior is because when I was four, a woman named Audrey, came forth about having a child by my father. At the time my brother Aireyon, had just turned a year old. They did a DNA test on the two-year old little girl, and it was 99.9 percent that my dad was the father. That embarrassed my mama so bad that she didn't want me going nowhere without her because she knew she couldn't take up for me if anyone said anything to me about the situation. We accepted Diamond and shortly after us first meeting her, Audrey signed over her rights to my parents and left. My mom then adopted her and made way for a third child. Audrey ended up popping up last year with a husband and two kids, but Diamond didn't want anything to do with her. My parents stayed together and it was tough for my mama to forgive him but she did because she loved him. She even had three more kids by him.

I set an alarm for 12:30 and then roll back over to go back to sleep. I got blackout curtains and it's dark in here except the L.E.D. lights I have put up around my tv. I do not like the dark and have always needed some sort of light. I installed these motion censored lights in the hallway, and I leave the stove light on.

Two hours later

I throw on a khaki-colored sweatsuit, tube socks and my Ugg boots. It's at least 60 degrees outside and I like to be cozy whenever I go out during the winter. I put on black puffer jacket and place my black knitted beanie over my freshly done silk press.

Making sure that everything in the house is off, I then grab my purse, keys and my heated hot pocket. I walk to the door that goes to the garage and get into my 2018 black BMW 530. I got it almost a year ago and it's about two years old but it runs good and I like it. While letting my car warm up, I begin to eat my hot pocket and search for a song to listen to.

I click I Should Be... by Dru Hill and turn up the volume. I haven't heard this song in a long time plus I love a good r&b song.

I get situated and begin to pull out of my driveway. In my review mirror I spot my neighbor jogging past my home. That man is so fine but a little too old for me. He actually lives around the corner so he's still my neighbor right?

I wait until he well past the house and pull out into the street.

As I pull up to the gas station, my parents' Audi is parked in front of the gas station. I pull in beside them and my siblings instantly gets out of the car with their backpacks. My mama rolls down the passenger window which means she wants to say something so I roll down mine.

"What's wrong with you? Why we couldn't just meet at your place?" She asks.

"Nothing is wrong with me and I don't stay there no more." I simply say.

"Where you stay at then? You don't tell nobody nothing." She says.

"Because I wanted to enjoy my new place without you criticizing me or it." I tell her.

"Don't worry though, it's a safe neighborhood and they will be fine." I add.

" Alright, you just be safe and keep my babies safe. Ty has the money with her  and we should be back tomorrow probably around 2 or 3 p.m. ." My daddy says. I nod then we let up our windows.

"Hey yall." I say as I pull off.

"Hey." They say dryly.

"Why so dry?" I ask.

"Mama said that you don't want us to come over your house." Rhyann says.

"She didn't say that, she said Cherry ACTS like she doesn't want us over there." Ty tells her .

"Same thing. I don't go with you if you don't want me to." Rhyann says to me.

"Mama can't hear because I didn't say that. I simply asked was Diamond gonna be home and asked if she had asked Grammi and Papa or Grandma and Granddaddy." I told them.

"Oh ok then. You know mama don't want us with Grammi and Papa anyways." Ty says.

"Yea, they just don't get along which has nothing to do with us." Rome says. I nod in agreement because my dad's family and my mama never really liked each other put up each other because of my daddy and us kids.

"So where do you live now?" Rome asks.

" Grammi and Papa gave me their other house. I fixed it up really nice and it looks totally different than what it used to. I added one more room, two bathrooms, a garage and a den. Now you don't have to sleep on the couch whenever you come over and you don't have to share a room." I tell them.

"Yes! So I can have my own room and watch the movies I want?" Rhyann asks.

"Yep." I say. I pull into a parking spot and we get out.

" I'm grocery shopping today so grab whatever snacks you want." I say.

I grab a basket and wipe the handle and little seat before putting my purse on it. I pull up my grocery list and then began shopping.

At home

I decided that I should just cook so I'm gonna make baked chicken, chicken flavored rice, green beans, rolls and a strawberry cake, which is their favorite dessert .

"So I was thinking, we should go on a family trip. We haven't been on one in a while, and we could use one." Tylah says. I side eye her as I stir the rice.

"Ooh I want to go to Disney World." Rhyann says.

"Me too but I also want to go to the mountains either in Gatlinburg or Branson like my classmates do." Rome says.

"Same, so many people always going to those places." Tylah says.

"That all sounds cool and all but you know your folks ain't going nowhere. They're going to say they don't have time and all that. Plus, me and mama not going to last an hour without arguing." I say.

"That's because yall are not being nice to each other. If yall be nice then she may let us go." Rhyann says.

We do need a trip so we can bond more and fix the problems within our family.

"I completely understand but first let me rack up some money because remodeling this place was not cheap." I say.
