"See now I want me a house because this looks great!" My bestie, Keirsten says.
"For real though, this place has really turned around. From a cabin look alike to a cozy southern home." My other bestie, Tamea says.
" Yes, I'm so excited y'all. Now I just need to get somebody to come get my yard to look worth something." I tell them.
While finishing up the Physical Therapist Assistant program, I asked my father's parents if I could purchase their house and land they had sitting across town. I wanted something of my own and this was perfect especially since it's in the family. Once I went to meet up with them to discuss arrangements, they suprised me with the deed to the land and papers saying that I was now owner of the house and land. I was excited and emotional because they didn't have to but they did. They bought this house brand new when they moved to Augusta before my father was born. Later on down the road they built the house they're in now and used this house for when family came into town.
It's an older house but with the help of a friend of the family and his company, I was able to make this my own home. It was a three bedroom and one bathroom house but now it's a four bedroom and two and a half bathroom house with an added garage and den area. I also had them add a wide concrete driveway. It's like my pinterest board came to life because that's exactly what I used to decorate. To be honest it doesn't even look like what it used to look like.
"Maybe my Uncle Reggie might come out here, I will call him and see what he can do. He does yard work and stuff." Tamea says.
"Ooh please give him a call. I want to plant some flowers around the front of the house so when spring comes my house will look on the outside and stand out. " I tell them.
Tamea, Keirsten and I go into my den and begin to relax, talk and drink. I invited them over for a much needed girls day and to help decorate my home and to spend the night.
The Next day
Ring! Ring!
I jump up by the sound of my phone ringing loudly. I start to rub my hands against my very comfortable king-sized bed to feel for my loudly ringing phone.
I feel it and grab it. I squint my eyes to see who's calling me and it's my mom. I roll my eyes and answer the call.
"Hello?" I answer groggily.
"About time! Why are you still sleep? It's ten o'clock in the morning?!" She loudly speaks. I wince at her loudness and quickly put the phone on speaker.
"Ma, what is it?" I ask, ignoring her question.
"I need you to watch the Ty, Rome and Rhy for the night while me and your daddy go out of town. They'll have to stay the night since we're not coming back 'til tomorrow." She says.
