"How are things going around here? Heard Sieun held auditions for my role."

Chaewon huffs, "Yeah, well.. we're doing alright? And yeah, she did. A ton of people auditioned. I honestly thought no one would care."

"Nah, that'd be impossible. Who were the ones who got in?"

The short-haired girl wrinkles her nose at the question, she's reminded again about who's trying to take Jaeyun's role and what they were doing to take it.

"Judging from your expression... you aren't really happy about the idea of this person taking my role." Chaewon laughs as she shakes her head, "No- they're," she involuntarily lets out a very deep sigh before continuing.

"They're alright?" She ended it with so much uncertainty and hesitation that Jaeyun looked at her with a confused but also amused expression.

"Why? Who are they? And how many are they?"

"Three. Yeonjun, Heeseung, and Jongseong.."

Jaeyun stares at her for a bit before he says a mumbled "oh" before looking down at the floor, "I get why you'd react that way, now."

"I mean, I'm not complaining but if you read the school's latest newspaper, you'd understand more why I'm reacting like this."

The boy hums and shrugs, "I don't really read the school newspaper, but I might this time around."

Chaewon only offered him a smile at what he said. "To be very honest with you, I thought it would be Huh Yunjin who got in with the way you reacted. But I guess you'd react more negatively and be more verbal about it-"

He looks up and sees Chaewon's face. Her expression was unreadable and Jaeyun isn't quite sure if he has accidentally hit a nerve and got onto Chaewon's bad side.

He silently winces at himself for even thinking about bringing Huh Yunjin up in this conversation.

He truly was surprised at Chaewon's expressionless expression.

"Oh, right, sorry about that, noona-"

"No, it's alright." Chaewon cuts him off, realizing that she shouldn't act like this in front of Jaeyun. The poor boy is literally healing from a severe injury and he's literally in a wheelchair as they're speaking.

She shouldn't be giving him a hard time for suddenly mentioning Huh Yunjin.

But the least Chaewon could do was also update Jaeyun with whatever's going on.

"The club did talk about this. They wanted to talk and ask Huh Yunjin first before Sieun held the auditions, but since she's not here, you probably know how it went down already." Chaewon says with a pathetic chuckle.

She doesn't really talk to Jaeyun about this, they were never this close anyway. Sure, they talk but all they ever talk about is the club and nothing else. Nothing about Chaewon's personal life, maybe Jaeyun's football team and his upcoming games and practices but never Chaewon's.

It's not like Jaeyun doesn't ask, he does from time to time, but Chaewon would never say anything other than "I'm doing alright, just busy with a few classes." And they end that conversation there.

Jaeyun was never one to pry. That's why he never asked what Chaewon truly, truly felt about Huh Yunjin. Or what truly went down between them a year ago.

Chaewon felt a bit exposed and vulnerable for talking about Yunjin with Jaeyun, but she never let it show.

"Yeah, I figured. I mean, between the both of you, the club has to pick." Chaewon offers him a tight-lipped smile.
