Script 7: Take the spot

"He for real complained about that to Sieun unnie??" Wonyoung was so shocked about the story, she wasn't aware of this and so was Aeri.

"And I was like of course he'd be treated that way, he's a star player! He literally represents our school!" Soobin butts in and says his own thoughts and reaction to the story.

Yunjin, judging from the sounds of it, guessed that Heeseung just become worse throughout her absence. He wasn't like that before. Maybe the change happened when he joined the basketball team.

None of them can be sure about it but that's just what Yunjin thinks.

They tell more stories about Heeseung being an ass, Jongseong being a menace and Yeonjun being a tease but also just being happy to be there.

While they were talking to each other, Yunjin was quiet in her seat. The cogs in her brain were twisting and turning and she started to think of her actions, started evaluating herself and her priorities, and even started to question her decisions.

All these events that kept on happening. From her getting shocked by the theater club wanting her back, to Chaewon being rude and mean to her, to Heeseung, Yeonjun, and Jongseong slowly getting on her nerves.

Everything was starting to pile up and suddenly she thought of how Eunchae was dead set on leaving the club.

Something about all these overwhelming emotions was slowly becoming a loud whisper at the back of her mind to audition, steal the spot from the three boys, prove Chaewon wrong, and make Eunchae stay.

"But then again, as long as we don't have another person to take the spot, they stay." Sunghoon's voice snaps Yunjin out of her trance but his words solidified her decision.

She obviously doesn't say what's on her mind but she wanted to at least tell her friends when a few people come in the shop, making the bell ring.

Yunjin makes eye contact with Chaemin and she stands up.

"I think that's my cue to go." She says and stands up before leaving and joining Chaemin at the counter.

"So, those were your friends?"

Yunjin stared at him for a second before clearing her throat, "Kind of." Chaemin didn't have enough time to react and let her response sink in before the customers approached.

She gestures for Chaemin to take care of the drinks as she takes the order. They both get busy for a while before Sakura comes up to the counter to bid her goodbye.

"We'll be heading first." She says and Sunghoon comes up behind her followed by Wonyoung. "Don't tell any of the three what we said about them.. We can trust you, right?"

Yunjin chuckles before flashing them a genuine, amused smile. "You can." She almost mutters it with how soft she said it and the three instantly smiled at her widely. Sunghoon nods her way before turning around, Sakura doesn't leave before gently patting her arm and whispering a soft "Thanks" before leaving with Wonyoung.

Soobin waves at her from the door and they're gone.

"So, what are your thoughts about Chaewon and Heeseung going on a date?" Yunjin almost dropped the small towel she was holding when Aeri suddenly spoke. She didn't even notice them coming up to her at the counter.

"Jesus, you scared me."

"Neither of us is Jesus but sorry," Minjeong jokes, and Aeri snickers.

"So? Thoughts?" Aeri asks once again and Yunjin has to calm her thoughts down before even responding. She wants to act casual about it but knowing both Minjeong and Aeri, they'd be able to see through her.
