Script 7: Take the spot

Sunghoon had to pull her by the arm and cover her mouth to keep her from saying anything else loudly. "You're being so fucking dramatic, I swear to God-"

"But she got asked out on a date! By Heeseung out of everyone-"

"Shut the fuck up!" Sunghoon hissed and Chaewon sighed deeply at their antics. If the whole club wasn't used to their little shenanigans already, everyone would have been judging them so hard right now.

"Keep it down.." Chaewon mumbles, a hand on her temple.

"What did you tell him? Did you accept?" It was now Soobin's turn to speak and Chaewon bit her lip before responding.

"I accepted."

"She what!?" Aeri's voice was loud. She was echoing throughout the whole cafe.

Yunjin winced at her sudden reaction and it seemed that Sunghoon and the others were the only ones unfazed by her.

Minjeong seems to be chilling beside her, sipping away on her frappe without a care in the world. However, she does look quite invested.

"Right?! We were shocked as well!!" Wonyoung says even standing up halfway from her seat, holding onto Aeri's hand to share the same emotions she felt.

"We honestly cannot believe that Chaewon would accept! She has never even been on a date before- well, not that we know of anyway." Sunghoon slaps his hand on the table, startling both Yunjin and Sakura.

"Heeseung thinks going on a date will help? How stupid!" Soobin said with a loud scoff.

Yunjin doesn't even know how they ended up in this situation, with both Aeri and Minjeong sharing a table with her and also with Chaewon's friends.

How she unexpectedly became one of the first few audiences to Chaewon and Heeseung's "date". And how she hid behind Chaemin like a loser just so she could avoid the two.

When Yunjin found Chaewon's friends behind a bush outside the cafe, she totally forgot that both Aeri and Minjeong had planned to drop by to eat together.

Well, to be honest, she quickly forgot about her two friends as soon as she saw Chaewon and Heeseung enter the cafe.

She only remembered once they were already there, pushing the door open and making the bell ring.

Chaemin was kind enough to take over the counter while Yunjin accommodated the others.

"And Heeseung?? Seriously?? I would have expected it to be Yeonjun but-" Aeri cuts herself off and glances at Yunjin before continuing, "Yeonjun is too much of a good friend to even ask Chaewon out on a date."

Her sudden pause and quick glance at Yunjin didn't go unnoticed by the theater club kids but none of them brought it up.

Yunjin isn't even sure as to why Aeri did that but she has a small hint on why.

Sakura's gaze was very hard to avoid, though. And so was Soobin's. Yunjin tried to look away and pay attention to what the others were talking about.

"Oh, you think so?" Minjeong finally spoke up and they all turned towards her, "I mean-" she clears her throat, "Is Yeonjun the best option for Jaeyun's role?"

"Honestly?" Soobin starts before sharing a few glances with Sakura, Wonyoung, and Sunghoon, "He can never do better than Jaeyun but, he's pretty good and they seem to have great chemistry."

Yunjin tried her hardest not to roll her eyes and scoff, she doubted they had good chemistry. Matter of fact, she doubts Chaewon had good chemistry with any of the three.
