Script 7: Take the spot

The other club leaders peeked out of their small cubicle-type rooms as they heard Sunghoon shriek. Sieun had to scold him and smack him upside the head just to keep him from making any more inhumane noises.

"I'll be auditioning for it," Yunjin tells Sieun once Sunghoon calms down. She didn't even wait for Sieun to ask her to elaborate, she said it on her own.

"Damn right, you are!" Sunghoon shouts again and Yu Jimin, the journalism club's president, immediately calls Jungwon over to take pictures of the three for the next school newspaper.

Jimin was sure Chaewon would definitely kill her this time once the newspaper finally gets published because there was no way Jimin would lose the opportunity to make a headline about Huh Yunjin and not mention Chaewon's name on it.

Not when it's about Yunjin asking to audition in the theater club.

Jungwon chuckles as he takes hundreds of pictures of Sunghoon celebrating, pulling Yunjin into a bone-crushing hug as Sieun tries to shut him up.

"Chaewon noona's surely going to kill you, Rina noona." And Jimin could care less to be honest.

"I can take care of her, don't worry about it." She laughs as she starts typing in messages on the journalism club's group chat.

"Hold on- Sunghoon, shut the fuck up!" Sieun hits Sunghoon on the arm before turning her attention back to Yunjin, smiling up at her apologetically but the girl seemed to be unfazed by this.

She has been with Sunghoon before, she's honestly used to it.

"Are you sure about this, Yunny?" Sieun finally drops the slightly formal talk as she looks up at Yunjin with worried eyes, "You know you don't have to- I mean we do want you to be a part of this but you know how it will be with Chaewon.."

"I know that but .. I can deal with Chaewon. You don't have to worry about it. If she gets mad at you for letting this happen, tell her that I forced you to."

"Hey, I don't think that's fair," Sieun says with a frown.

Yunjin shakes her head at that, "It'll be just fine. Besides, I'm only going to be here until Jaeyun gets better, right?"

Yunjin sure didn't change. Sieun remembers her being like this, always finding a way to be a part of something. Because she's persuasive like that.

Sieun chuckles as she's reminded that she used to not be the president before. She was once only a member like Chaewon and the others. Sieun had always looked up to Yunjin the moment she joined.

Having a trained Opera singer walking around their campus and even joining their club was really something to be proud of.

She abruptly became the president when the old president was found to be the one who blackmailed Yunjin into causing the chaos that became of the theater club.

Sieun sighs at the memory of Yunjin apologizing to everyone for causing trouble and then leaving the club a week later.

And that Yunjin who had those thick black framed glasses who looked like a nerd is still definitely the same Yunjin who's now standing tall in front of her. Hair red and more confident than before.

The Yunjin in front of her knows what she can do, unlike the Yunjin she knew before.

And that truly was admiring.

"If you insist." Sieun pats her arm, "I know you can do it. I just needed you to come on your own."

Seeing Sieun's smile after hearing her words was enough for Yunjin to know that she had the spot already.

Sunghoon comes up beside Sieun and immediately flashes Yunjin a playful grin. "Good luck, Yun."

Now that that was out of the way, all Yunjin had to worry about were her exams and Kim Chaewon.

Good luck, indeed.

"Good afternoon." Wonyoung greets Chaewon by the club room's door. Chaewon nods towards her, "Hey, what's up?"

Chaewon tries to reach for the door's knob to open it when Wonyoung holds onto her hand and grips it tightly. The older girl looks up at Wonyoung with a blank expression, she doesn't know if Wonyoung is only being funny and joking around or if there's something serious she needs to know about before entering.

"What?" She asks as they stare at each other for a bit.

"Are you in the right headspace to receive information that could possibly hurt you?"

Chaewon bursts out laughing before patting Wonyoung's arm with her other hand, "You're so stupid.."

"That was an honest-to-God question, unnie," Wonyoung says with a frown and she grips onto Chaewon's hand tighter.

"Come on, how would I know? You literally asked me a meme, Wony." The older girl answers with a huff.

Wonyoung sighs and releases Chaewon's hand, "Actually you can receive this well." She smiles, "Go on. Enter the room, unnie."

Something about Wonyoung's smile screams danger and sarcasm but Chaewon wasn't going to stay out in the hallway to make Wonyoung explain.

She pushed the door open and suddenly all eyes were on her once again. It's becoming a common occurrence at this point. Deja vu.

Everyone is silent when she appears and she wonders for a second if she has to talk to Sieun outside again to know any information that could possibly hurt her.

She finds out pretty quickly that she doesn't need to talk to Sieun outside again for it. It was immediately presented to her the moment she looked around the room and saw the all too familiar red hair that she's always dreading to see.

Huh Yunjin was standing in front of her inside their clubroom and Sieun was nowhere to be seen.

Chaewon notices the lace hanging on Yunjin's neck and she soon realizes that it's the same lace and ID that they use in the theater club.

She felt her stomach churning and she felt like throwing up right then and there.

God, she needed more strength than she has now to be able to go through this day without picking a fight with Huh Yunjin.
