Script 7: Take the spot

So she offers Kazuha a huge smile as she finally decides to push through with her plan right after their basketball practice.

Saying that Park Sieun was shocked would be an understatement. Her world flipped upside down when she laid eyes on Huh Yunjin standing right outside the shared club office for all the leaders.

Around this time, only a few club members of each organization were around and Sieun was one of them. Maybe some of the athletes were still around like Huh Yunjin. But it just so happens that Park Sunghoon was there, too and Choi Soobin stayed back to help out a bit in the council before dropping by to ask how the theater club had been right after the gathering earlier.

He did leave as soon as Jaeyun did because he had other things going on. The council and exams.

"Hey.. Yunjin." Sieun greeted her hesitantly. Her brows were slightly furrowed as she looked up at the tall redhead. Sunghoon remained seated inside the small area they were given inside that one big room. His feet were resting on top of the table and his eyes were slightly wide at the sight of Yunjin.

He looked more excited than shocked, though, unlike Sieun.

"Hi, sorry. Are you already heading out? Is this not a good time to discuss something with you?" Yunjin was polite but confident. However, her voice slightly shaking broke the confident exterior away very quickly.

Sieun raises an eyebrow at her before responding, "No but we were about to head out soon, yeah. Is there something that you need?"

"I wanted to talk to you about something. About the play and the empty roles?"

Sunghoon immediately puts both of his feet down on the floor, startling Sieun as he stomps. The leader turns her head towards him and glares for a bit before turning back towards Yunjin.

Yunjin catches a glimpse of Sunghoon behind Sieun and his eyes are sparkling with so much hope and expectation that Yunjin is about to do what Sunghoon is thinking that she's about to do.

Yunjin refuses to look at Sunghoon after that. She doesn't want to get too excited about what she is planning to do just because Sunghoon is happily expecting her to tell Sieun that she wants to audition for the spot.

"Oh, we only have one empty role... At the moment, at least. But we do have Yeonjun, Jongseong, and Heeseung competing with each other for it." Sieun says with a bit of disappointment on her face. Maybe what Sunghoon and the others were saying about the three boys was correct after all.

Even Sieun looked like she made a mistake in picking them and that just gave Yunjin enough confidence to push through. It slightly fed her ego that she may be the only person to be able to fill in that spot.

But she didn't want to be cocky and stayed humble just to save herself from the embarrassment if Sieun decides not to choose her.

"I think you know what's currently going on with the three and Chaewon. The whole school knows at this point." Sieun adds with a chuckle.

"Why? Do you have anyone you know who can fill in the role just perfectly?" She suddenly asks right after she says the other statement and Yunjin takes this opportunity to tell Sieun what she had in mind.

"Yeah. I do, actually." She responds with a huge smile and Sieun mirrors it.

"Really?? Would you mind telling me?"

Yunjin pointed at herself, smiling like a big loser as she spoke, "Me."

Sunghoon just about lost his whole soul when he shrieked and jumped up from the swivel chair that he was sitting on the whole time that the two girls were talking.
