DAVE'S POV
I couldn't think of anything as I stared at my father's corpse on the hospital stroller.
I was slowly losing breath and hot tears were rolling down my eyes.
How? Why? What happened ?, I finally found my voice and was asking the ambulance staffs and firemen who were present there. I was on my way to visit my dad when I suddenly saw an ambulance and firetruck parked in front of my dad's workplace and then I saw my dad's lifeless corpse being pushed out on a stroller.please someone say something I said In tears, everyone there looked at me and no one said a word.
Can someone say something.... please,I screamed out.
nurse walked up to me, placing her hands on my shoulders, you have to be calm sir, everything's going to be fine.
My name is David maxson, rather than having a normal life like every other person my age , having friends, partying and other stuffs, i was different.
My dad was my best friend and I was mostly alone and reserved. I hardly talked to anyone and was always basically on my own.
I couldn't come to the fact that my best friend was dead. My dad worked at wills chems and sci, he was a senior scientist and was also a bit popular for his inventories. While he was at work, I was at school and we both looked forward to meeting at home. My dad was healthy... very healthy so I don't understand what's going on.
Ma'am, I called out to the nurse, can you please tell me what happen to my dad......in details, I said cleaning the tears from my face.
You will have to come with us to the hospital and sign some papers then you'll be able to access the autopsy.
I nodded slowly waiting for her to continue.
Are you the eldest child ? She asked with a pitiful smile.
Yes...I am the..... only child, I replied wiping tears off my face.
Ok then, you can get in the ambulance she said as she helped me up.
On the way to the hospital I kept on thinking about the possibilities of what happened to my dad, I was scared but determined .
When we got to the hospital I was asked to wait in the reception while my dad was taken into the hospital for an autopsy. I couldn't cry anymore so I just sat and waited.
I couldn't stop the thought of me not being able to survive without my dad, I lived my while life with him and never thought of the possibilities of losing him and now....... I suddenly realized a nurse was calling me.
it's pretty late, you know you can come back for the results tommorow right? She asked walking up to me.
I know, but I think I want to wait, what's the time please, I asked looking up at her.
It's 3 in the morning..... she said while another nurse came out from the back.
Mr David maxson ? She called out,
Yes? I answered while standing up.
The doctor asked to see you now, she said politely and walked away.
I looked at the other nurse and she smiled at me and walked away.
I maned up and walked into the doctor's office, I opened the door and saw a tall man putting on glasses and a white coat, he looked tired but jumped up the moment he saw me.
Mr David maxson, have a seat, he said as he gestured towards the chair in front of his desk.
How are you Mr David?, he asked as he took his seat.
I didn't reply and just kept on staring at him.
Ok then, he said and opened a file In front of him.
Before we continue, I would like to.aks of you have a relative or someone who you would like to contact for emotional support or something? he asked.
No...its just me..... it has always been just me and my dad...my mum died when I was born, I replied looking down.
Oh...ok then...the autopsy report shows that your dad was stabbed a few minutes after he was injected, we are not sure about the substance that was injected into him yet, but the result shows that he died from the stab in his right abdomen, he said and looked up, I'm sorry for your loss mr David he said and closed the file in front of him.
I didn't know what to say at that point,I could feel shivers going down my spine.
He ......he was....he was killed, I managed to say as hot tears rolled down from my eyes
I'm sorry Mr David, I'm sure the police has this cov.......
I immediately stood up and ran out of the office cutting his words short, I ran from the hospital with tears falling down my face, who would kill dad? he was the nicest person to be with, and he loved his job so much, so.....why? why ? why? I kept on asking not expecting any answer as I ran towards Will's chem and sci.
When I got to the company, I saw the police and they were all over the building, i tried to get in but I was stopped by two police men.
You can't go in there, this is a crime scene, one of them said.
Please let me in, my dad was killed, I need to know why.... please, I said in tears.
The police will handle this kid, you have to go now the other police man said.
Please I...I was cut short when one of them shouted at me.
Leave now.... he said with a harsh and loud voice.
Tears rolled down my eyes as I turned back and went home .
I walked slowly into the house where my dad and I had lived all the past years and I couldn't hold back my tears.
Dad was the only reason that kept me  living,having no friends or relatives...I never really belonged anywhere.
it was just my dad and I and now he's gone, I said to myself with tears.
I cried myself to sleep and when I woke up, it was already noon.
When I realized dad was gone, I felt sad but was also curious about his death, he didn't just die.... he was killed, I wanted to know why.
I hurried up changed my clothes covered with blood and drove to wills chem and sci.
When I got there, the police was gone and there was no more police tape. t
The company was operating normally and nothing was different. it was as if nobody had died a day before. I walked into the building with a confused look.
Everything was having a normal day and everyone carried on with their duties without looking back.
Wha......what's happening here? I asked not knowing why the investigation had stopped.
Excuse me, a voice had called from behind stopping me, can I help you.
I turned and saw a lady dressed in suit, with her hair packed up, she looked as if she had been crying but hid it well. She stared at me, expecting an answer.
Excuse me, she asked coming closer to me.
Ummmm...sorry I'm David maxson, Jimmy maxson's son..... I said looking at her.
Her facial expression changed immediately and she turned around and started walking away.
Wait..... Wait up please ....wait I said as I followed her while she hurriedly walk away.
Please wait, I said and she stopped without turning to face me.
What do you need young sir? She asked turning to face me trying to fake a smile.
You know something, I said curiously trying to walk closer to her.
Excuse me sir, you have to excuse me she said and tried to walk away.
Wait please.....I just want to know....Why...why did the police stop investigating, I saw police tape everywhere the last night but it's all gone.
She looked at me and gave a loud sigh, Let's just say the CEO took care of it, she said and tried to walk away.
But......my dad was killed I said grabbing her by her wrist.
I'm sorry but I really have to get back to work and I think it's best for you to get out of here and quickly too, the laboratory where Mr maxson died is still under investigation..... you don't have to worry so please leave as fast as you can, Goodbye Mr David, she said and quickly left.
Who the fuck is the CEO, I shouted expecting no answer from her as she disappeared into the walls of the company.
I walked to the front desk and met a different lady there.
Hello,  I said to the lady sitting and typing.
Hello sir, can I help you? she said without looking up.
Ermm....I want to meet the CEO, please if I can.....I said hoping she would just look at me.
She finally looked up at me, do you have an appointment? she asked with a confused look.
No ....no I don't, I was just asking....if I could...erm ....meet him. I replied looking down.
Im sorry sir, you can't meet the CEO without an appointment she said and continued working on her laptop.
But I really need to meet him I said....I ....I thought about telling her who I was but changed my mind remembering how the first lady had behave after finding out who I was.
Thank you, I'll take my leave now. I said and walked away from the front desk.
I need to get into my dad's lab, I said to myself as I walked out of the company building.
I left the company and sat in coffee shop close by actually waiting for an opportunity.
I sat in the coffee shop till dark and just when I was about to give up, a security guard walked out of the building, I decided to follow him.
He went into an alley and brought out a pack of cigarettes, he was about to get high, I thought to myself.
An idea popped into my head the moment I saw a brick lying next to me,
I took the brick, said a little prayer and slowly walked to him. then I got the brick on his head before he could turn back and he immediately passed out.
Sorry sir, but I really need to do this,I said as I dragged him in deeper into the alley and stripped him of his clothes.
I put the clothes on and walked into the company, with the cap covering half of my face all the time 
I found my way into the laboratory where my dad worked, there was police tape at the front door and also inside the lab.
I entered into the lab clearly ignoring the tape. The lab was a mess, as if a fight had happened. Perhaps Dad had fought for his life before he was killed, I thought to myself as I walked around.
I looked around hoping to find something that will lead me to the killer but I couldn't find anything especially because the lab was a total mess.
There was broken glasses and blood stains everywhere, I felt sad anytime I thought of the possibilities that the blood belonged to my dad
After searching for about two minutes, I decided to take my leave before I get caught, walking towards the door, I slipped on a piece of glass and went straight to the floor making a loud thud.
I bit my lower lip to prevent my screaming but the fall was obviously loud and it was only a matter of time before the security guys will show up.
I quickly dumped the security clothes and hid under the table to avoid being seen. As I crept under the table, I felt something against my back,  I turned around and it was a camera, it has been there all along, probably that's why the police couldn't find it, I thought to myself.
I quickly took the camera and checked for the memory card, I prayed before opening it and it...it was there, the camera's memory card was there all along, I found something related to dads death, I was so relieved.
I told you there was no one here,  I suddenly heard a voice from outside the lab, it was the security guards.
I truly heard a loud bang from the lab, one of them said.
But I didn't,  it might probably be your imagination again, the other one replied.
See no one is here so let's go.
Ok.... maybe it was my imagination, I gave a sigh of relief when one of the said

What are you talking about? the other one asked.
The uniform,on the floor...it wasn't there before, he replied walking into the lab.
It's Ken's, he said picking the uniform from where I left it.
But he went  out for a smoke, what is his uniform doing here? The other guard said and walked into the lab as well.
Let's check around maybe we'll find something.
I had to leave the lab as fast as I could, if I was found, the memory card would be taken away and I will be left with nothing.
The broken glass spread across the floor didn't make it easy for me to sneak out. I quickly hid the card in my pocket and walked quietly towards the door. I reached the door and grabbed the handle.
Hey kid....you shouldn't be in here, one of the security guard said running towards me.
I'm sorry, I said as I quickly went out the door and locked it from the outside. The  security guard tried opening the door but it the budge.
He took his walkytalky from his pocket and said.... Intruder in the upper laboratory, hurry here now.
Shit, he had a walkytalky I said as I quickly ran to the elevator through the opposite direction, I tapped on the elevator button quickly, and luckily it did and I entered it into the elevator and closed it as fast as I could, I saw the guards running towards me as the door closed.
When the elevator took me down the guard where still on the stairs, I ran as fast as I could towards the exist door, I stopped when I noticed there were also guards at the front door.
I stopped running and an idea popped into my head. I took my phone out and made a fake call.
Good Lord, let this work please I thought to myself as I walked towards the door.
Yes sir, I dropped it on your table and I am about taking my leave,  I said in pretence and walked right pass the guards.
When I was far enough from the front door guards, I started running again I looked back and saw the guards following me out of the building.
I have to loose them now, I thought to myself.
I ran as fast as I could but the guards where still behind me.
I came to a two sided road and before I could decide where to go, a hand pulled me into a side alley and I felt my back against a warm body, a strong hand was placed against my mouth and I tried struggling to break free but I couldn't.he was way stronger than me.
I'm sorry dad, I let the guards get to me, I thought to myself.
Stop struggling or you'll lead them this way, the guy behind me whispered gently. His voice was so calm and he didn't seem like a security guard.
I stopped struggling and stayed still and soon the guards ran pass the alley.
He realesed me and I peeped to check if the guards were still on to me.
Thank you so much you just saved my life, I said still checking for the guards.
You're welcome...cutie' I heard the guy say from behind, I turned around and saw the most handsome guy ever, although he was putting on hoodie and sweatpants with messy hair his handsome face was still clearly obvious. His scent was so fresh as if he had just freshen up and I couldn't think of anything else. I just kept staring at him with amazement.

hat is there something on my face?, he said touching his face cutely.
Who's the cutie? I said to myself.
What? he asked.
No....nothing...erm...thank you...for helping me, I'm Dave,  I said giving my hand out for a shake.
Matthew, but you can call me Matt, he said while grabbing my hand and smiling.
Matt... Ok, if I may ask what were you doing in the alley? I asked curiously.
Ooh I wasn't here before, I was at a bar nearby drinking with my friends, when I saw you running from the guards, I followed you and decided to help he replied smiling.
Oh.....thank you for helping me, Ill take my leave now. I said not wanting to leave at all, I turned to leave and he grabbed my hand.
Erm.. sorry Dave.... I don't know why those guards where chasing you but it looked serious so I don't think going back that way is a good idea,he said still holding my hand.
I heard what he said but I didn't understand a word of it because he was holding my hand, I looked at his hand and he let go immediately.
Sorry, he said after letting go.
It's fine, I said almost blushing.
Yeah it will be risky for me to go back, I finally said.
I need to see what's in the memory card if I get caught I will loose it, I thought to myself while touching my pocket.
Hey, matt said while waving at me.
Oh sorry , by chance do you have a laptop ? I asked.
Yes I do, but it's home he replied.
Then I'll come with you,  I said.
Oh ohk .....he replied smiling while messing up his hair more.
