Script 6: Ruining moods and dates

Start from the beginning

Yena knows just how much Chaewon would be pissed off about the news of Jaeyun getting injured.

And she also knows that what the football team did was wrong and against the rules, and the ridiculous part is they were still yet to be disqualified.

They should be. Yena wants them to be.

"We're competing together this year, which means all sports teams." Yena added after a slightly long pause, "Which means you'll have to visit my school."

"As if I'll watch."

"Not even for Yuri? You know she misses you too!"

"I can ask her to hang out any other time." Chaewon deadpanned.

"Oh, come on, Chaewon. You can't ignore Minju forever!"

Chaewon squints her eyes at the sudden mention before looking away.

"Look at you, avoiding this conversation again."

"I'm not." Chaewon says sternly.

"You so are!" Yena almost shouts out of frustration.

The car stops at a red light and Chaewon huffs, "We haven't talked in a while."

"Because you keep ignoring her, that's what she's been telling us."

Chaewon doesn't reply.

Kim Minju was also a former theater club member. Also a friend. Or so that's what Chaewon thinks they still are even if she doesn't respond to any of the girl's texts.

Minju had always wanted to leave SCE Academy, but she would always stay for Chaewon. Because Chaewon is the only thing she has ever known. The closest to home.

But before the school year started, Minju was given an opportunity to transfer. She took it right away, with Yena and Yuri joining her.

It wasn't like Chaewon intended to not talk to her ever again. It was just Chaewon's way of coping. Coping with losing a friend.

Coping with losing a person she liked more than a friend. But Minju would never know that, Chaewon was too much of a coward to let her know.

Only her friends knew, especially Yena.

Chaewon wasn't mad when Minju left. She was everything but mad at Minju for leaving. She was happy that the girl was finally able to go to an academy she really wanted to study in.

They were still going to be friends no matter what, anyway but it was just different for Chaewon and she couldn't take not seeing Minju at all. She couldn't take not being with her, not feeling her presence, not being able to hear her voice.. Not being able to feel her warmth.

It was too much to handle.

Which caused Chaewon to avoid her just to be able to get used to it. Even burying her feelings in the deepest darkest pits.

"Chaewon, I know you like her-"

"I don't like her anymore."

Yena groans very loudly, "You keep telling me that but your actions say otherwise! You ignore her, you don't talk to her at all! You can't keep leaving her in the dark like this, why don't you just confess?"

"What do I confess? I told you, I don't like her that way anymore!"

The older girl rolls her eyes, "You're so stupid, Kim Chaewon."

Chaewon knew that very well, she didn't need Yena to tell her that.

And yet, she still dares to ask, "How am I stupid?"
