At dinner table

Rohit was feeding juniors with his hands who have suddenly refused to use their hands . Virat was seeing this whole interaction with teary eyes

Flashback

Ro : you have to eat this porridge vi . It is the best thing you can eat in fever

Vi : no ro , it doesn't taste good
Saying so vi turned his to other direction

Ro : vi , will you not eat it even when I will feed you with my hands

Virat turned his face towards Rohit's direction and opened his mouth slightly

Ro : finishhh
Exclaimed ro happily at being able to make vi eat porridge

Vi : yuck , not tasty , not even a single percent

Ro : now don't make faces vi

Flashback over

Vi : rohit can I talk with you for sometime

Ro : No

Vi : but why
Asked vi unable to hide his desperation

Ro : I don't think that the captain of the team will be interested in talking with the disgrace of the team

Vi was hurt will be a mild statement but instead he was disappointed with his own self . Vi was just looking at his own food and not eating . He left the dining table without eating his food . Rohit saw that and sighed .

Ro : jassi , Harry can we go tomorrow for the ice cream. I've to do some important work now .

Jass : okay
Replied Jassi knowing that Rohit bhaiya will need some time to come back to his original self

Jinks : okay every one get up and go to sleep now

After that everyone left that place except rohit and jinks .

Jinks : rohit I know it is vi's fault and it is totally your decision to forgive him or not but I am just saying please give him a chance . If you don't want to forgive him then don't but please just listen to him at least once .

Saying so jinks left . Rohit took a plate and filled it with most healthy things he could find on that table .

And now rohit is standing outside of virat's room debating whether to knock or not . At the end he decided to enter the same way he used to enter earlier " Without knocking and straight up barging "

Vi fell off his bed at sudden noise making rohit stiffen a laugh .

Vi : what happened ro i-i mean rohit

Ro : you wanted to say something to me plus you haven't eaten your food . So speak while eating .

Vi was happy that ro is still caring about him

Ro : now will you stop smiling like a possessed person and speak

Vi : can we first eat food

Ro nodded . Vi decided to try his luck this time . He opened his mouth indicating rohit to make him eat .

Ro : don't you have hands .
Said ro rudely

Vi was hurt at that tone but knew it more than anyone that this is the least he is getting after committing such a heinous crime .

Vi : I have hands but I want to eat from your hands

Ro : and what on the world made you think that I will make you eat with my own hands . The hands which hurted "your rahuliya" since he is no one to me

Vi got silent at that remark and just bowed his head down and continued to eat in silence . Rohit too got calm after sometime . He noticed that Virat forwarded a bite to him .

Ro : what

Vi : even you didn't eat while feeding juniors

Rohit's eyes softened at that . Vi was about to take his hand back seeing ro not eating but rohit quickly took that bite in his mouth from vi's hand only .
After finishing the food rohit kept the plate at side

Ro : say whatever you want to say
Said rohit in an uninterested tone

Vi : woh actually I mean I just wanted to you know that-

Ro : Virat speak clearly , I don't have whole night to waste on you . I have to plot against my teammates too so be fast .
Said rohit sarcastically

And that was the straw for Virat who started to sob uncontrollably .

Vi : I am sorry ro , give me any punishment but please don't speak like this with me . This guilt is killing me from inside I don't know for how long I will be able to take it . Please hurt me physically for everything I have done but just don't give me these remarks . I really can't take it .

Said vi joining his both hands together at the end and tears streaming down his face unstoppably .

Ro : you will do anything

Vi : yes

Ro : okay , hold your ears and start doing sit ups

Vi without any question got up from the bed and started doing sit ups . Rohit was watching him but due to lack of sleep he was getting because of all this ficasso he slept their ony .

It was 3 am when Rohit's eyes opened and he saw that Virat was still doing situps holding his ears

Ro : vi stop doing it . Oh no , how can I sleep . Come here

Vi was about to move towards his his bed fall on floor because of unbearable pain in his legs . Rohit quickly got up from bed and helped virat to lay down on the bed .

Ro : oh no , i am so sorry . How can I sleep . Is it paining too much vi ? What am I even asking it must be paining so much

Tears started to fall down from virat's face

Ro : vi why are you crying so much ? Should I call physio ?

Vi : no ro it isn't paining . It is just that you called me vi after so much time .

Ro : are idiot vi . When you saw that I have slept you should have stopped doing sit ups or you could have woke me up . What was the need to do all that

Vi : ro this pain is nothing in compare of the pain I gave you . I not only insulted you but raised my hand on you too .

Ro : you idiot , duffer , fitness freak vi dare you even try to get up from the bed for next two day . I'll kill you with my bare hands .

Vi : okay okay I won't get up but can you please cuddle with me for now
Asked vi showing his puppy eyes

Rohit just hugged vi tightly when he felt vi shaking .

Ro : why are you crying vi . Are your legs paining .

Vi : no it is just that I am feeling guilty for not trusting you . For not being their for you when you needed me the most . But instead I was standing against you . Please forgive me ro .

Ro : it's okay vi . We can't change the past but I can definitely guarantee that you will be there for me at every next step . I have heard somewhere that hardships make our bonds stronger .
