Script 4: Auditions

She rolls her eyes as she watches him walk away.

"He can be an ass sometimes." Kazuha finally spoke after a long while of being silent. "And a bit narcissistic, don't you think so?" She added and almost everyone nodded their heads.

"He'd be the nicest dude out of all and then become your average basketball jock who'd definitely give random girls his jacket."

They all burst out laughing at Minji's comment. She didn't lie, it was slightly true. But Yeonjun is probably one of the sweetest basketball players out there.

For the men's basketball anyway. They just don't get why he was suddenly acting this way.

"Does that mean both Jongseong and Heeseung would be auditioning for Jaeyun's part as well?" Minjeong asks, drumming her hands against the court's hardwood floor.

Yunjin didn't dare look at Minjeong nor did she dare respond to that question. Something about it just made Yunjin ... mad.

It was irritating for her.

The fact that Yeonjun just had to come over just to declare that he'd be auditioning for the role irritated Yunjin.

And the mention of both Jongseong and Heeseung doing the same added to the fire that was starting to engulf Yunjin's head.

Smoke must have already been coming out of her ears by now but she remains silent.

"That's what he said, didn't he?" Ryujin shrugs before leaning back and laying down on the floor, "I doubt they'd all take them anyway- not as long as Huh Yunjin is here."

Ryujin said it so confidently that Yunjin turned to look at her and Ryujin winked.

"There is no way I'm going to audition for that." She muttered and everyone expressed their disappointment.

"Aww, Yun- come on! Prove these assholes wrong!" It was Yujin who said that, shaking her by her shoulders as she did.

Yunjin wasn't sure what Yujin meant by proving them wrong. As far as she knew, she had nothing to prove and no one to prove wrong at all.

But she refuses to say anything just yet.

"Right! We'd come with you if you want?? Don't you want to perform again??" It was Kazuha that spoke this time, her eyes were twinkling.

"With Chaewon too!" Minjeong added, sending a teasing look at Yunjin's way, making the orange head laugh.

"And maybe if you perform again just this once- maybe Eunchae would-"

"Alright. Stop." Yunjin immediately stopped Kazuha from finishing that sentence.

The thought of her cousin leaving the theater club was saddening. Plus, Yunjin is still yet to know the real reason as to why.

Maybe- maybe through this, she may find out why. Right..?

If she does this, it's not for the club. It would be for Eunchae. Maybe if Eunchae sees Yunjin in the club again, she wouldn't leave.

Yunjin sighs, "I'll think about it."

Minji pats her shoulder, "Don't let these goons get to your head, Yun." Everyone protested because of what Minji said but she acted as if she heard nothing, "Just do whatever you want. We'll be here for you."

And Yunjin is thankful.

But then the thought of Chaewon crossed her mind again and now she's already rethinking her life's decisions again.

When Yunjin said she'll think about it, she didn't think her friends would be dragging her to the auditorium after class.
