Script 2: Huh Yunjin

Chaewon cursed under her breath. How is this happening to them? Curse those assholes that injured Jaeyun. They have been so excited about this upcoming play. They even started rehearsing for it way before.

How do they even work this out now? It's not like they can wait for Jaeyun to heal up. Based on Sieun's story, Jaeyun's injury is severe.

"But.. this isn't the only reason why I decided to talk to you privately."

Chaewon looked at Sieun and Chaewon's eyes had that twinkle of hope in them. She expected Sieun to tell her the good news after telling her the bad news.

But there was no good news.

"Listen, Chaewon. I need you to cooperate with me on this. If we want to push through with the play, it's important that you swear to cooperate with us."

Chaewon looked at Sieun weirdly. What was this about?

"Yeah..? Okay? Sure." But she sounded unsure. Sieun almost thought it was hilarious but she cleared her throat.

"You have to be very sure."

"I am sure!"

"You sounded a tiny bit unsure earlier-"

"God, Sieun! I am sure! Now what is it about??"

Sieun sighs. Gathering all her courage to tell Chaewon what the whole club had discussed earlier.

"We know who can replace Jaeyun. Everyone talked about it earlier and said it would definitely work."

Chaewon now looked happy and oh, does Sieun feel so bad to break her enthusiasm with what she has to say next.

"Really?? Who is it?? Call them in already!"

"It's Huh Yunjin."

It's as if glass shattered with how Chaewon's smile immediately dropped with the mention of her name alone.

Chaewon then started laughing after a few seconds, "You're kidding." She says while laughing, "My partner's a male, come on now, Sieun."

"Hey, we didn't specifically make your partner a male. Jaeyun was just a perfect fit, we didn't really care which gender they would be." Sieun immediately told her and Chaewon was still laughing.

"You're kidding..." and Sieun shook her head, "No, Sieun.. you're kidding.."

Chaewon's smile was slowly fading now and sieun could tell she was minutes away from raging.

"You're fucking kidding." Chaewon deadpanned and Sieun almost burst out laughing before she shook her head once more.

"Hey, you said you were sure. You said you'd cooperate with us if you wanted this play to push through."

"Yeah but that was before I found out that you all were thinking of having Huh fucking Yunjin in the play as my partner!"

Sieun had to cover her ears for that. Chaewon's voice could turn someone deaf.

"Okay, alright. We'll talk more about this, okay? This is why I talked to you privately because it's about Yunjin."

Chaewon scoffed, "Come on, Sieun. You know damn well why I don't like her. You know that all too damn well. You shouldn't even be talking to me about this right now because you should already know my answer!"

Sieun sighs, she shifts on her spot. Not really knowing what to tell Chaewon. She knows the girl is very passionate about the play and she would do everything just to push through.

She guesses she didn't really think about how much Chaewon hated Yunjin more than she loved the club.

Sieun bit her lip. Everyone was counting on her to convince Chaewon but it's proving to be very difficult.

"Alright. I'm sorry for almost fooling you into agreeing. I know how much you hated her and how much it broke you when everything went to shit back then.."

Chaewon had her head hung low, refusing to look Sieun in the eyes. Sieun was there when Yunjin and Chaewon created chaos.

She was the person Chaewon begged. She was the person Chaewon trusted that would side with her no matter what.

Chaewon clenched her fists, "I'm sorry for being mad. I know that this is for our club and I'm being selfish for acting this way but please.."

"I know. I'm sorry. We can look for someone else.. unless you change your mind. Alright?" Sieun had a hand on Chaewon's shoulder and the short haired girl nodded slowly.

"Alright. Let's go back in."

Chaewon slowly walked back in with Sieun. She refused to meet anyone else's eyes. Not even her friends.

Sieun had dismissed them early and made them all leave. Shooting Chaewon one last apologetic look on the way out.

"You alright?" Wonyoung asks and Sakura already has an arm around her shoulder. Sunghoon was just following them silently.

"I'm alright." she whispers and none of them asked her anymore.

Chaewon was relieved that they didn't ask anymore. She wanted to be alone after her talk with Sieun.

She knew she may be being dramatic and she definitely knew she was being selfish.

But it was Huh Yunjin. She can never be alright when Huh Yunjin's around.
