Chapter 2

•New Friends!•

[Previously]

"I-I'm fine... W-who are you...? Why am I here...? Where am I?!" You asked in a panic, looking around with wide and confused eyes.

The woman with the TV for a head chuckles softly before placing her gloved-hands behind her. "Don't panic, chérie. I'm Vye. So a new human, hm?" She asked in a... Weirdly polite tone of voice...

'A new human?' You thought to yourself. You were about to respond to 'Vye', but you get cut off by a male, cheerful voice behind you.

"A NEW HUMAN, YOU SAY?!"

You tensed up by the sudden cheerful voice behind you. You jump, and with a small yelp of surprise, subconsciously clinging onto the TV woman to see who, or what was behind you.

To your surprise, you see a man with dentures for a head with his eyes being inside them, in a crimson red suit, and also hovering in the air, just like Vye, who chuckles softly as she catches you.

You glance up at Vye for a split second before your gaze goes back to the man with teeth for a head.

[The teeth-headed man]: "Ohoho! I see that a new human has entered our realm! Welcome!" He said in the most cheerful voice you had ever heard.

[Y/N]: "...What..." You managed to mutter out after a few seconds of silence, followed by Vye clearing her throat.

[Vye]: "You can let go of me now, chérie..."

You look up again, as you realize you were still clinging onto Vye like a cat who got wet.

[Y/N]: "Oh... Sorry..." You mumble as you quickly, yet gently get off of Vye and to the ground.

Meanwhile, the teeth-headed man chuckles in amusement and pats your head with his gloved hand.

[The teeth-headed man]:"Don't you worry your little head, dear! Let us show you what I mean...-"

And with a snap of his fingers, the room/place you were in goes dark. And when I say dark, I mean dark as in pitch black. Until you heard another snap of some fingers.

Some lights were turned back on, making the area dim as the lights are pointing to the stage before you. You were seated in a chair with a bunch of more chairs besides you that are simply empty. You heard the cheerful male's voice once again from the stage as you looked up to see him in the middle, floating up a few feet above the floor.

[The teeth-headed man]: "Welcome, Welcome to The Amazing Digital Circus! I'm your Ringmaster, Caine-!" He then pulled, or rather summoned Vye onto the stage with him with his arms around her shoulders. "-And this is your Ringmistress, Vye!"
 
[Vye]: "You, sweet face, have entered an incredible digital world of wonders where anything and everything can happen! E-Except for any inappropriate actions and sayings, of course..." She chuckled awkwardly in the end.

Meanwhile with you– nothing really... You were just sitting in your seat, staring at the two leaders blankly, but most likely in confusion; what have you gotten into?

Your thoughts were soon interrupted by a small clap from behind you. You tensed up from the sudden sound and snapped your head towards the clapping. You saw other people seated behind you, surprisingly. And you recognize them as the characters from the stage from the little song earlier.

The one clapping looked like a periwinkle rabbit with pinkish overalls, yellow gloves, and yellow teeth and eyes.

And the other characters?

Well...

To be honest, they're all kinda weird.

One looked like a doll with thick red spaghetti-like hair with a bow on the back, and a blue (or is it purple?) stitched-up dress; she only had one eye, the other being a button.

Next to the ragdoll, a ribbon...? A ribbon that forms a body and with a mask, a comedy mask to be exact. You'd be lying if you said they weren't cute with their mask.

Then there's a figure that's just... Different wacky shapes with all kinda of colors.

There's also a literal king chess piece with cartoonish white/gloved hands detached from their body, a violet royal cloak with white fuzzy lining spotted with dark brown.

And finally, a clown with a yellow party hat, yellow and some blue and red jester outfit with cartoonish wide red lips.

Their appearances made you wonder about your own. What did you look like in this digital world? Do you look similar as you did back in your world? Or do you look entirely different?

Those questions ran through your mind on loop, resulting to you zoning out. That is until the periwinkle rabbit snickered and spoke up.

[The purple rabbit guy]: "Looks like you two still got it, explaining your world all dramatically– Ow!"

The rabbit, that seems to be male from their appearance and voice got cut off immediately by the ragdoll smacking his face with a hand.

[The ragdoll(y)]: "Jax! Don't be mean!" 'She' then turned back to the two ringmasters "Don't worry, you two did great! You both really did your best to explain to the new person." She reassured them before chuckling softly, but slightly awkwardly.

The lights went back on, and the chairs disappeared before you could even blink, making you fall to the ground on your butt. Groaning, you got up, just for the ragdoll(y) to walk up to you and help you up.

[The ragdoll(y)]: "Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?"

[Y/N]: "Yes, yes, I'm fine... Now who the [BOINK!] are you guys–?! Wait– What the [SQUEAK!]?!"

[Caine]: "Ah ah ah! We just told you, swearing is not allowed! This place is for all ages!" Caine stated, pointing a finger up defensively (Like that principal in Baldi's Basics cause idk how to explain it much).

[Vye]: "And to answer your previous question, they are your new friends! Jax, Ragatha, Gangle, Zooble, Kinger, and Kaufmo!" Vye pointed out to each one of them, as she does you hear a light ding from out of nowhere.

You took a moment to look at all of them with a blank expression before looking around the circus your in.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA—"
[Y/N]: "Okay– Okay– Enough of that. Now let me leave this place." You ordered with a laugh. This is all just some weird joke, right?

Right...?
