When I walked into the kitchen, Jenna was sitting at the table, studying.
"Hey, kid." I said quietly. "Hey, Jule. How are you feeling?" She asked and looked up at me. "Like a parade float." I said with a laugh.
"You look beautiful, Jule. You're really glowing." Jenna said gently. "Glowing or sweating? I took a walk." I said and went to the fridge.
Once I got there, my body contracted pretty bad, causing me to gasp.
"Woah..are you okay?" Jenna asked as I nodded, closing my eyes against the pain.
"Do I need to get Colby?" She asked as I shook my head, leaning against the fridge as the contraction passed.
"I'm good." I said then let out a sigh. "Are you sure?" She asked cautiously as I nodded.
"What do you want for dinner?" I asked and looked in the fridge.
"Can we have breakfast for dinner?" Jenna asked as I pursed my lips. "Could be fun." I said and looked to see if I had the ingredients as the baby kicked me.
"Oh!" I gasped, doubling over slightly. "Julia, I'm worried about you." Jenna said as I shook my head.
"Don't be, she just kicked the fuck out of me." I said then continued to collect the ingredients I needed to make dinner.
"She's gonna give you a run for your money since she's got the most chaotic parents ever." She said as I laughed and nodded.
"Yeah, she's gonna be a feisty one." I said with a smile then started cooking.
I spent the next hour making bacon, eggs, pancakes for dinner. By the time I was done though I was even more exhausted.
"These look really good, Jule." Sam said as I sat down, huffing out a breath. "Thank you." I said with a small smile.
"You have finals this week right?" Colby asked as we ate. "Ugh, don't remind me." Carter said as I sighed.
"Have you studied for even a minute?" I asked as he laughed. "Maybe." He said, avoiding eye contact with me.
"I don't know why you're scared of me. It's your grade, man." I said as he groaned.
"You really don't care if I fail?" He asked as I shrugged. "Of course I care, however I'm about fifteen seconds from popping and I can't babysit you. You're old enough to know that you may have to be held back if you don't study." I said and looked at him.
"Yeah, you're right. Jen, will you help me?" Carter asked as Colby grinned at me. "Yeah, of course." Jenna said as I reached over and took Colby's hand, squeezing it.
We both knew that after everything that's happened, the twins have gotten so much closer.
I knew they always loved eachother but it felt good that they were getting along better now.
We sat and enjoyed our dinner before the kids went to go study. "I'm gonna clean the kitchen, sweetheart. Go upstairs and relax." Colby said as I nodded.
"Wanna cuddle?" I asked Juniper, causing her to gasp and smile. "YES!" She said then jumped up and down happily.
"Okay, then. Come on." I said then let her lead the way. I slowly followed behind her, feeling my body tensing with every move.
I was very uncomfortable but was pushing through because there was really no other choice.
When we got upstairs Juniper and I made our way to the bed and got in.
"Sissy?" Juniper asked as I wrapped my arms around her. "Yes, love?" I asked as she frowned. "Are you gonna stop paying attention to us when the baby comes?" She asked as I shook my head.
"No, love. That will never happen." I said then kissed her head.
"The baby is going to take a lot of Colby and I's time but we will never neglect you or the other kids. Got that?" I asked and looked at her.
"Are you sure?" She asked as I nodded. "Positive. Have I ever let you down?" I asked as she giggled. "Noooooooo." She sang playfully.
"I love you, sweet girl. I'm gonna need your help when the baby comes though." I said causing her to perk up.
"I'll get to help?!" She asked as I nodded. "Of course. She's gonna need her silliest and sweetest aunt to show her the ropes of this family." I said as she smiled widely.
"I love her already!" Juniper squealed as the baby kicked. "She loves you, too. Do you feel her?" I asked and brought Juniper's hand to where the baby was kicking.
"I feel her!" She squealed happily. "She's saying she loves you." I said with a smile then kissed her head.
Juniper and I ended up talking for a little while before she fell asleep in my arms. It didn't take much for her to fall asleep but a cuddle always put her right to sleep.
"How long has she been out?" Colby asked quietly as he came into the room. "Not long." I hummed.
"I'll get her to bed, then I'll check on the other kids." Colby said as I nodded. "I'll be here." I said as he pulled Juniper into his arms carefully.
Once he was gone I went to get out of bed so I could move over to the exercise ball we had.
"Come on, darling. It's time to come out so we can meet you." I hummed, holding my belly while bouncing on the ball.
"Oh wow, you're bouncing early tonight." Colby said as I nodded. "I'm tired today. Gonna go to bed soon." I said as he chuckled and sat on the bed, looking over at me.
"I'm never gonna get over how beautiful you are." Colby hummed as I sighed. "Please, I feel so ugly." I said and put my hand on my belly.
"You're so stunning, Jules. The fact you're carrying our daughter makes you all the more beautiful." He said then walked over and gave me a gentle kiss.
"I love you." I said quietly as he brushed my hair behind my ears. "I love you too, darling." He said then took my hands as I bounced.
I ended up bouncing on the ball for an hour before I was too tired to continue.
"I know it's early but will you lay with me?" I asked as Colby nodded. "Of course, sweetheart." Colby said then helped me get situated on the bed.
"How are you feeling?" Colby hummed as he held me. "Been better but have been worse." I said with a yawn.
"Are you getting excited?" He asked quietly as I slowly drifted off to sleep. "So excited." I whispered, leaning my head on his chest before fully falling asleep.
I slept peacefully for a few hours before I woke up, feeling restless. It wasn't an uncommon feeling these days but it sucked because I wanted to sleep.
Colby was no longer in bed which meant he was most likely downstairs.
I got out of bed slowly, feeling my anxiety sky rocket. I didn't like when I felt so restless like this.
I was obviously very large since I was so pregnant and sometimes it was just so suffocating.
When I got downstairs I could hear the TV going in the living room so I made my way over there.
"Jules?" Colby asked as I walked towards him. "I feel so uncomfortable." I said with a frown as he paused the TV.
"Come here." He said as I smiled and went to walk towards him.
I only took one step towards him though before I felt the rush of warm liquid flowing from me and hurling towards the ground, causing my eyes to widen.
