*time skip a few days later*

Lauryn has now been here for a few days, I had fallen asleep by the time they had gotten back. The first day she was here was just chill, Jordan had come round with Blu so we all went on a walk, meeting with Steph, Caitlin and Calvin.

Today all of the girls had plans so me and Lauryn had decided to go on a day out. She had figured out that I love sharks so she had asked if I wanted to go to the aquarium, obviously I agreed. This morning we had all woken up around a similar time, we slowly trickled out going to wherever we needed to go. I had convinced Leah that me and Lauryn were able to get the bus and walk to the aquarium instead of getting Amanda to drop us off.

We were the second ones out the door this morning after Viv and Beth, who were going to meet up with Beth's parents, who had made the trip down, for the day. After a lot of coddling off Leah making sure I had everything we eventually made it out of the door and walked up the road towards the bus stop.

Me and Lauryn started a conversation about school, she was curious about when I went to school due to the training schedule we have.

"Yeah I go in for 4 half days and then on our off day from training I go in for the full day, which is typically a Tuesday and that's when the schools team does football training and I do that as well"

"That's cool, it must be a lot tho, do you still have to wear uniform and everything"

"Not on the days where I do half days they just let me wear my arsenal stuff but the full days I do"

"Ahh cool"

Eventually we made it to the aquarium, we went in and paid for our tickets and made our way through. We walked through all the little fish tanks and even got to stroke a starfish. When we made it to the shark tank I was mesmerised.

I think I must have stood there watching them for a good half an hour, no complaining from Lauryn. She just stood next to me watching them as well. Eventually I broke the silence

"Did you know that sharks don't have bones" usually if I came out with something like that the other person would burst out laughing, but she didn't she just hummed. This made me smile as no one has ever done that, I think I really like this girl.

Lauryn's POV

I really like Rosie, she's the sweetest soul to exist and she doesn't deserve the life that she had before she went to Arsenal. Katie had warned me about not mentioning her family when we were out today. She had told me that Leah was planning on adopting her as well.

When she just came out with her random shark fact I think it made me fall for her even more and just cemented the idea of me asking her to be my girlfriend today.

When we had finished looking at the sharks we made it to the end of the aquarium, at the gift shop. Whilst we were booking around I heard Rosie let out a big gasp. When I turned to see what she was looking at, I saw the cutest shark teddy ever in a claw machine right in the corner.

As Rosie walked round the shop, I told her to go and have a look around as I walked up to the claw machine. I spent the next 5 minutes trying to get this bloody shark teddy out of the claw machine, so when I finally got it I sighed with relief. It might have taken me ages and cost me a bit more than I thought, but at the end of the day I like this girl so much and I really hope she thinks the same. I quickly put it in my bag for later and walked around to find Rosie looking at the teddies. She was standing there with a turtle and a starfish in her hand, lucky she hadn't gone over to the shark ones in the corner. I quickly diverted her attention by grabbing a jellyfish one for myself and asking her if she was ready to go.

We quickly made it through the line and got served where the cashier stood there starstruck for a moment before asking Rosie if she could sign something for her. She happily grabbed hold of the sharpie she held out and signed the piece of paper she was holding.

After we had made it out into the town centre. Rosie decided she wanted to get a chippy for tea and sit in the park with it, so we did just that. Rosie got a sausage with chips and gravy and I got the same. Rosie insisted on paying, saying that it was fair because I paid for our tickets to the aquarium.

We finally got our food and walked the short route towards the park and sat on a bench by the lake. We just sat in silence and ate our food looking at the ducks. Once we had finished our food I took our rubbish to the bin whilst Rosie stayed put on the bench as I told her. As I was walking back I took some deep breaths preparing myself for what I was about to do.

Walking up to Rosie I sat down next to her as I opened my bag where I had previously stashed the shark teddy. As I pulled it out of my bag and handed it to her I started to speak.

"I really like you Rosie, I have done for a while now. Since your first started at Arsenal actually," I laugh a little and she smiles a bit "Will you be my girlfriend?" She stays silent for a moment or two holding the shark teddy in her hands

"I really like you to" She says quietly

"So-" I say anxiously

"Yes, I will be your girlfriend" She says launching herself into my arms a big grin breaking out on both of our faces.

After a while spent at the park just talking to each other, we finally decided to call Katie to come and pick us up as she said she would be the only one home.

When we eventually got home I was surprised to see more people in the house than I was expecting. Apparently a few of the team had wanted to come over and see Rosie, in celebration of her making the England team.

Eventually I was introduced to everyone there, it's crazy to think that my sister and now girlfriend play with the world's best, they are the world's best, and now I'm sitting in a house with them. Sometimes I wonder if I am good enough to be like Katie, to go up into the world stage and play in front of thousands of fans, sell out stadiums and fight for equality in women's football.
