Days have passed, night falls and falls and the new year is closer than ever. Taehyung had spent all of this time pacing every inch of his territory, killing innocent creatures and trying his best to center his wrath that was so overspilling he couldn't contain it any longer let alone leave it reigned. he is missing Jimin intensely, more passionately than he could ever describe. he misses the sounds of his voice and giggles, his long stories that were mostly filled with nonsense, the songs he'd play Taehyung, his gray glittering eyes and wide smile, his warmth, his presence and everything about him

Taehyung missed him more than life, vaster than the sky, so much more than could be explained, there were no metaphors, similes, or words to ever elaborate how much Taehyung missed Jimin and how enraged that gaping void inside of him made him feel. The bright colors of his lake and garden only infuriate him worse, what is the point of them if they are not there with Jimin to enchant them with his fairy-like appearance and angel-like heart?

It's a full moon tonight and the two have conversed about watching it together before this agony took place, Taehyung is angry even at the moon as he sighs and watches it, his amber eyes seething and his jaw is clenched, his hands locked as fists as if he's battling the moon to strike a fight with him. the moon does nothing, only sits in the sky with its beauty momentous and glow striking. Taehyung snickers, as if its glow and beauty could ever compare to Jimin's, he thinks to himself

this orb is tainted, and flawed. It relies on something else for its prettiness and without the sun it'd be nothing. whereas Jimin is gorgeous from the depth of his heart to the smoothness of his skin, everything about him is perfect and perfect, no other word could describe him better than perfect, seraphically perfect. Taehyung sighed and he almost felt something sting in his eyes, his throat closed before he cleared it and looked away from the moon

unaware of what this foreign feeling and emotions were, he inhaled a deep breath yet before he could exhale it, someone entered through the vine-covered entrance and his ears pick up on the soft shuffling sound as he immediately turns around only to find what he has been dying to see all this time. the breath rushes out his lips slowly and he doesn't know when he learned to smile this wide but it's blossoming on his lips, wide and stretched when his eyes are finally blessed with the sight of Jimin

the blond boy stands far from Taehyung but his gaze has fallen on him, eyes locking and he can see the glistening liquid in Taehyung's eyes, had he been crying? Jimin wonders before he looks down and licks his lips, gathering his emotions before he looks up again and finds Taehyung right in front of him

he gasps and startles back, grabbing onto the vines that are hanging while his eyes are wide and the look on Taehyung's face upon his fright is so painful it nearly crumbles Jimin's already shattered heart. "I'm sorry, I hadn't meant to startle you" Taehyung mumbles, his voice is deeper than usual but Jimin still finds himself seeking solace in the way it sounds so familiarly velvety and smoky. the blond doesn't answer and avoids Taehyung's gaze who steps back, not removing his eyes from Jimin's face as he reaches a spot where Jimin can be comfortable, and the blond walks forward just slightly

they stand in silence, Jimin doesn't have the bravery in him to look into Taehyung's eyes after he had seen that look in the painting and in real life too so he avoids his gaze at all costs while the raven-haired never looks away from his face, so much longing in his ember-like eyes that have now dimmed from his fury and there's only serenity in them now.

Jimin shouldn't be here, not after his grandparents had practically begged him on their knees to stay as far away from the forest as he could but he had questions and he needed the answers desperately. For some unapparent reason, not even an ounce of fear was banging against his chest like it should've, he felt unfamiliar, standing in front of Taehyung like this and he felt angry, sad even, but fear was long gone. the man sighs again and walks away from Jimin, toward the lake and his actions catch Jimin's attention who watches him sit by down the lake and turn to look over his shoulder, gazing at Jimin who looks away and licks his lips, deciding to the same.
