Caitlyn yells through the muffler and shakes her head.

"And you can have Powder back."

"I can't." Vi gasps, shaking her head and dropping it to lay on my shoulder. Jinx scoffs and takes the gun that she gave Vi back, pointing it at Caitlyn.

"No, Jinx. Listen." I yell to her.

"We can just go. Us three. We'll leave and never come back."

Jinx inhales softly yet abruptly. "Where would we go? No, no, no. She's not saying that."

"It's true. Well put this behind us. You'll never have to see him again, Powder."  Vi continues.

Silco mumbles something quite matter-of-factly, trying to make a point presumably.

"What do you have to say about that?" She asks him, putting her gun down and walking to him. I let out a breath of relief and I feel Vi do the same.

I look to her with concerned eyes. It's times like this when I wish we were back in our cell, rocking each other to calm down after we had cried for over a few hours. Thinking about it, things were simpler then.

Jinx takes of Silco's muzzle and he lurches forward towards us. "Her name is Jinx!" He yells, drool from his mouth falling from the mask and down his chin.

"You got a little something..." I say, trying to taunt him knowing he can't get it. "On your chin..."

He scoffs before turning to Jinx. "They're lying. You'll be with them a day before they realises you aren't that girl anymore and turn their backs on you."

"Are you kidding? We aren't stupid! It's been 7 years! Of course she isn't that girl anymore!" I yell to him, because it's true.

"You aren't lying. You wouldn't lie to me. Not again."

"I'm not lying. We aren't lying. We're on your side. We promise." Vi replys desperately as I nod along with her words.

Jinx suddenly shakes before she shoots the Mylo manikin. A glass shatters as its head hits the table and she screams at it. "Shut up! We're talking!"

"The Topsiders offered me everything. Independence, a seat at the table. All in return for you. They can all burn." As Silco speaks, trying to convince Jinx, I see Caitlyn reach slowly for the smashed glass on the table, presumably to cut her ropes.

"Everyone betrays us, Jinx. Vander, them. They will never understand. It's only us. You're my daughter. I'll never forsake you." He says.

My eyes widen at his words. To be quite fair to him, if I was in Jinx's position, I'd go for the man who was actually there and is still there. But I'm not, so he can piss off and let us take her home.

"Drop the gun!" Caitlyn yells, standing up from her chair, holding Jinx's machine gun. Everyone stares at the exchange, not knowing what to say or do.

Jinx looks to the ground, presumably noticing the broken glass.

"No. Please." Vi begs quietly.

Jinx scoffs softly and loosens her grip on her pistol, not letting go, however. You can see the thoughts running through her head before she raises it and fires, causing Caitlyn to do the same.
