Chapter 7: Apollo's Farmhouse

Leila: Hey, I heard about what happened to you.

Leila: I'm sorry I wasn't there :(

Ara: No, it's fine. I'm okay na :)

Everly: Apollo lent me his credit card pala

Everly: And asked me to buy her new clothes!

Leila: Don't forget her skincare

Everly: Of course, do you think I'm new to this???

Ara: HAHAHAHAHA!!!

"How's my girl?" Everly bust inside my hospital room with a huge grin on her face, and both hands full of shopping bags. She really went crazy with Apollo's credit card. I just hope she didn't put too much dent in it, or else kailangan kong bayaran si Apollo.

"Wow, you really went crazy, Everly," I commented, still eyeing the shopping bags she dropped on the couch.

She sat by the stool next to my bed. "Minsan lang 'to no," natatawa nitong sabi. "Tsaka hindi naman gumagastos si Apollo para sa mga personal na bagay, okay na 'tong mag-splurge tayo for you."

But I'm not his—I'm not his anything to splurge on. "Isn't this too much?"

Everly rolled her eyes, then pointed at the angry red marks on my skin. "Remind ko lang ha. Kung 'di dahil sa infestation sa Casa Arcangel, hindi ka isusugod dito sa ospital at hindi ka mawawalan ng mga damit."

"Wala ba talagang nasalba sa mga gamit ko?"

Napangiwi siya. "Meron pero kaunti lang," sagot nito. "Payo rin kasi ng mga doktor mo na i-dispose na properly 'yung ibang gamit mo na kaya naman mapalitan, along with the mattress, sofa, and other furniture pieces sa Casa."

I groaned hearing this. "Gosh, no wonder walang tumitira doon. Bakit naman kasi walang nagsabi sa akin na may infestation pala ng bed bugs doon?"

"Malay ko ba," natatawa pa ring sabi nito. "Pero tulad mo, Apollo's asking his staff why no one told him how bad the infestation was inside and he's real mad."

"Hindi naman kasi biro 'yung puno pala ng peste 'yung bahay niyo," I said, defending Apollo's reaction. I mean, it's just kinda expected, right? I'd be furious if no one told me my childhood home has a bug infestation. Bukod sa avoidable issue ito, magastos rin ang pagpapatanggal ng mga peste.

"Ano pa lang plano niya sa Casa?"

"He's hired a team of exterminators. They've started fumigating yesterday, hindi ko lang alam ano pang gagawin nila. Well, maybe Apollo will finally start renovating their old house, or demolish it all together."

So he's still not decided. Either way, whether Casa Arcangel gets renovated or demolished, I'd still have to move in with him. I have to think and plan my next move. I can't just wing it everything. Kailangan ko na kumilos at mag-plano para sa future ko.

I looked at my friend and saw her looking at me with worried eyes, she just couldn't hide it anymore. "So, I'm moving to his place later. Wala pa rin ba talagang vacant rooms sa B&B mo?"

She shook her head as her frown deepend. "I'm sorry, Ara. Wala pa rin talaga. Alam mo namang babalitaan kita agad kapag meron, diba?"

Bakit ba naman kasi nagsabay pa 'yung pagbabalik ko sa Hermosa sa kung anuman ang dahilan ng pagka-overbook ng Ever's Meadow Bed & Breakfast. Well, hindi naman na dapat ako magtaka. Kailan ba ako sinuwerte sa ganitong bagay?
