Jin: It's nothing.

Sheele: It doesn't seem like nothing.

After breakfast, the group and Iris -who slept over in the last chapter- met up with Najenda, who had bad news.

Najenda: Bad news. Esdeath has recovered from Ingrid's attack.

Iris: So what? I can take her out.

Najenda: Yes, but she isn't the type of woman to not learn from mistakes. First off, she took the Northern Tribe, but secondly, she's been promoted to a fully fledged Shadow Dagger, now that she's above Zoey Kimberly. And I got a mission to protect officials on a boat. So we'll be sending Jun and Iris as help. Can you recall that vision?

Jun: I wrote it down. Bulat would die to injuries while also giving Tatsumi the OG Incursio. Even though Tatsumi already possesses the Angel Incursio.

Tatsumi: Wait, you're calling it the Angel Incursio?

Jun: Well, you turned into that white dragon, with Angel wings.

Jin: Besides, if you can come up with one, go ahead.

Najenda: And also, we got another mission to protect someone in the tundras. Akame and Lubbock. You're sent there. Leone and Jin, you'll spy on Esdeath and see what she's up to.

Jin: Alright, one question. Do you know anything about this Esdeath? I keep hearing about this human from Iris or you guys, but I'm not exactly sure who she is.

Najenda: She's a disturbed and psychopathic woman, obsessed with killing.

Mine: Kinda like you, Jin! Maybe if she wasn't so evil you'd make quite a couple.

Everyone began to laugh at Jin, especially Mine, except Jun, Najenda, and Sheele.

Najenda: But I have some things to say about this mission. An increase of Imperial officials being assassinated have been talked about, and they've scatted fliers claiming Night Raid is responsible.

Jin: There's definitely some who'll follow this.

Najenda: They we're thought to be fake. But there is a number of people believing we really are responsible. Not to mention, all the targets had 1st rate guards. So they couldn't have been brought down by regular thugs.

Jin: Imperial Arms. Got it. They're trying to pin this on us, and using officials's deaths to prove that. I'm not even gonna question why they're killing off their own allies. The minister is the worst of the worst after all.

Najenda: Lastly, the targets are competent officials who disagree with the Minister's views and policies and recognize the need for revolution. So when we dethrone the emperor and stop the minister, people like them will be our greatest allies. So we can't let this stand. What are your thoughts?

Tatsumi: We can't just let this stand!

Sayo: We're defined by our actions! Not by the actions they define!

Ieyasu: What she said.

Jin: Let's take down those bastards!

Najenda: Alright. Actually, Jun, Bulat, and Tatsumi, you'll be headed down to the docks, disguised as aristocrats. Lubbock, Iris, and Akame go to the tundras. Jin and Leone go spy on Esdeath. Sayo, Sheele, Ieyasu, and Mine, stay behind.
