"That means she studies here again.. I don't know if that makes everything less worse.."

The four friends all share a look that says "there's no hope in cheering this girl up"

And surely, there really isn't any hope for them at all. If Chaewon is upset, she's simply just upset and that's it.

While Chaewon is grateful that her friends try for her, she thinks she may have to fight this battle on her own.. As if there is a battle fight.

She just saw Huh Yunjin after a whole damn year and a half.. Anyone would react the same as Chaewon especially if they had an unpleasant experience with one another.

"Let's just get you home, sweetheart." Sunghoon had said before they all pulled her up to stand. It was obvious he was trying to be sweet but just came out so sarcastically.

The smaller girl didn't say anything about it though.

Maybe Chaewon just had to accept everything.. even if she didn't want to do that.

From that day on, Yunjin would be everywhere.

Well, her name anyway.

Chaewon would hear her name everywhere, just like how she used to hear people fawn over and talk about Yunjin the very first time she stepped foot in their academy. The girl who's a trained opera singer from New York, stepping foot into SCE Academy.. It was really a very shocking and phenomenal moment for the whole academy.

Now that she's back, Chaewon can't believe she has to hear everything all over again.

The very first time Chaewon actually saw Yunjin in the flesh was when she walked into the GE courses building.

The huge building that stood tall in the very middle of the whole campus was where the minor subjects were taught. Well, used to be, as the academy decided to open the building's doors for other departments. They weren't really expecting to get tons and tons of students each year.

They were slowly rising to the top, towering over other schools, winning over them and taking their place in the top most popular and academically great academies.

They had to make room for students while they slowly created more facilities and buildings.

Hence why the GE courses building that used to have only few students in it, is now bustling. Filled with students who're in a hurry to go to class and students who're waiting in the student lounge for their next classes.

Chaewon had only one business being in that building. It was to attend her psychology class that she took up for extra credits. She could have just settled with being a part of the Arts and Design department even if she was a performance arts student to get extra credits but she was simply not satisfied with it.

Because to Kim Chaewon, having an almost perfect grade isn't quite enough. It's still lacking in her eyes. She needed to have perfect grades. Not "almost perfect" grades.

She spots Ahn Yujin come in walking past her and speed walking towards the stairs, not even taking a look at the elevator. Chaewon wondered then if she should do the same instead of waiting for the elevator to come down.

She decided against it, only to regret it later on.

As the elevator arrives on the floor that she needed to be in, she checks her phone once, making sure that she didn't just misread the floor number and the class number given to her when she asked to be put in any random psychology class.

As soon as Chaewon stepped out of the elevator, another person stepped out from the elevator beside the one she rode in.

She stopped in her tracks when bright orange infiltrated her vision.

She blinked a couple of times before realizing who she was seeing.

Huh Yunjin, with her back towards her. Walking all too casually and slowly for Chaewon's liking.

Chaewon prayed that Yunjin would walk faster and disappear into a room somewhere along the halls before she could finally move. But Yunjin didn't move fast. She took her sweet damn time as Chaewon stood there, frozen.

She thought about walking past the girl but that would just make Yunjin notice her. She didn't want Yunjin to see her nor make Yunjin aware about her existence.

"God damn it, Yunny. Let's keep it moving!" Chaewon almost flinched when she saw Ahn Yujin emerging from the stairs, immediately shouting at the orange haired girl.

"Why should I be in a hurry? You're the one who made a bet with Ryujin, not me."

Hearing Yunjin's voice after a year felt weird to Chaewon. But she sounded the exact same. Chaewon could even hear the smirk on her lips when she responded to Yujin.

As Chaewon stood there on her spot, Yujin made eye contact with her. Her eyes stayed on her for less than a second before pulling Yunjin by the arm. Pulling her towards a classroom and pushing her inside.

Not once did Huh Yunjin turn and look towards Chaewon's way.

And Chaewon thanked God for that. It would have been very awkward if Yunjin looked back and they saw each other.

Chaewon was finally able to move from her spot, walking towards the same direction the two girls went as she looked at all the doors. Reading all the numbers in her head as she looks for her classroom.

She held onto the door's handle when she finally found it, gripping it tightly before turning it.

As she entered the room, there were already a handful of students inside. All in their own little world. Some, talking with their friends in a hushed manner. Chaewon could care less about who these people are.

Until she looked up and met eyes with Huh Yunjin's brown ones.

She almost stopped dead on her tracks until she realized she couldn't possibly stay in front of the class without getting all the attention. Some were already looking at her as she was now quite famous for being one of the most great performers from the theater club.

Chaewon could differentiate the way these people looked at her. With admiration and shock. But Yunjin's gaze was different.

She had a slight smirk on her lips that was soon fading away. Her laughter and happiness from earlier slowly disappeared with the sight of Chaewon alone.

Her eyes looked bored, her posture sucked, just the same as Chaewon remembered. There wasn't any sparkle in her eyes. Nothing that would indicate that she was happy to see Chaewon once more.

And Chaewon almost glared at her for looking at her as if she was a nobody.

Yunjin was the first one to break eye contact. She turned away and talked to her friends immediately.

She could already hear the hushed voices of both Ahn Yujin and Shin Ryujin who now busied themselves by talking to Yunjin.

Talk about luck, really.

Chaewon's friends soon appeared a little while later as they all promised to accompany Chaewon with this class.

Chaewon thanked God that she talked her friends into taking the extra class together or else she'd be doomed with having Huh Yunjin in her class.

They all shared a look as they all one by one, saw Huh Yunjin sitting at the back.

Chaewon whispered something along the lines of "let's talk about this later" before their professor walked into the class with a few books in his hand. Greeting them all with a smile.

Today was going to be a long day.
