AUTHORS NOTE: Ok so I'm making wdyl a lost in reality and 5sos collab and obviously that means I have to go into too much detail about how the song sounds in my head.
Because LIR is a more rock/pop and not EDM like the chainsmokers the song sounds way different. It's more guitar and instrument heavy. Like in the parts of the OG song that are like the EDM it's more of the guitars and all that's in the cover that's in the media. Also Olivia is singing Luke's original verse and then calum gets his normal second verse then Michael and August do a really pretty two part harmony on Michael's part. And also a lot more harmonies and just gorgeous singing moments are integrated into this version of the song.
I put a cover this band did of the song in the media so listen to that, but in my head that cover is mixed with the just 5sos version of wdyl that 5sos does.
Sorry for yapping on for so long lol. I hope I actually got across correctly what is happening in my head with this song.
