You were the towns Baker kinda like poppy but you left little treats on each neighbor door as surprises
no one besides Wally knew it was you who left the treats but they still knew you as one of the neighbors (just bare with me I'm writing this at 9pm-)
Today was no ordinary day, it was Barnaby's birthday! so you and wally started to make him a cake. Wally told you vanilla was his favorite flavor so of course the cake was vanilla
you also added some blue frosting with red and yellow dots like his fur and what you didn't know as you put the last dot on was someone was on to you

As Barnaby Beagle wandered through the neighborhood he couldn't help but notice the sweet scent that seemed to be following him everywhere he went.
"Hmmm, this smell is simply paw-some!" Barnaby exclaimed as he walked around the neighborhood
"It's like someone has been baking up a storm in here!" Just as Barnaby was about to give up on his search, the smell got stronger as he went a certain way.
He quickened his pace, his heart racing with anticipation. Could it be the treat-leaver?
But instead of finding the culprit, Barnaby found himself face to face (Y/N) who was surprised to see him stuttering over her words.
"...U-Uh..Hi Barnaby, you look better today...New tie?" she said leaning on her door frame trying to block the sight of wally scrambling to hide the cake
"Nope! Nothing new 'bout me how 'bout you?" Barnaby says trying to look into the house but even though he was WAY taller it was no luck and you were panicking
(sorry about all the pov changes-) but just as you thought all hope was lost you had an idea
"Are you a parking ticket? because you've got FINE written all over you" you quickly say and you see Barnaby's face flush from embarrassment so you kept going ( 😃 🔫)
"Any chance you have an extra heart? Mine's been stolen" and going
"If you were a fruit, you'd be a fine-apple." and going until his face was as flushed as a tomato and yours too.
as you let your guard down he took the opportunity to try and look inside but as quickly as you let your guard down you put it back up by kissing him (Idk how cuz my dudes 7 or 8ft-)
"Hey Barnaby's" a monotone voice cut through the now awkward silence as you breathe a sigh of relief as Wally was done hiding the cake
"Oh Hey Wally!" Barnaby said walking to him and putting a paw on Wally's shoulder and waving goodbye before they both walked away.
Barnaby walking lovestrucked with Wally muttering "I think I found my soulmate" Wally just chuckled as they both walked home
