I was serving my last detention today.
It was delayed
because Mr. Kinsey had other
"important" matters to attend.
An hour had passed,
my pencil still carving into the desk.
Help Me
It said.
It was then that you looked over at me
eyes trained on what I was carving.
I tried covering it,
but you already saw it
and your eyebrows
frowned in confusion.
"you okay"
you asked.
As if you actually cared.
But I just nodded my head.
I'm fine
I'm fine
I'll be fine.
The teacher told us we could leave.
I bolted from my seat
picking up my bag and ran.
You called after me.
I ignored you.
