''I have men everywhere, which is why it all leads to a dead end.''

''What is it you're distributing, Vince.'' I growl. ''You got all this money, fame as you like to call it. All your guests seem to be terrified of you, desperate to please you.''

''Oh, you flatter me too much.'' Vince says theatrical as he places his hand over his heart.

He comes even closer to me, his face only an inch away.
''You should be familiar with my.. merchandise..'' He smirks darkly.

I narrow my eyes, as it suddenly clicks.
. ''The syringe..?'' I ask. ''You transfer drugs, narcotics?'' I roll my eyes. ''How original.''

Vince scoffs at my dismissive attitude. ''That's not all of it y/n, my newest product will be the most wanted. The highest anticipated of all.. and you, my dear, gets to try it for free..'' He chuckles.

My heart starts to beat loudly in my chest, but I won't back down now. I told myself no matter how much he tortures me, I won't comply. I'd rather die than work for him.

''I'm not afraid of you.'' I growl as Vince turns around, walking over to a guard who is now holding a small metal case in his hands.

''Hurt me all you want.'' I raise my head, my chin upwards.

Vince shakes his head as a loud chuckle escapes his mouth.

''I don't intend on hurting you y/n.''

His words weigh heavy, the tension between us rising.

My eyes dart around in disbelief. Trying to make sense of the situation.

What kind of game is he playing?

Vince opens the clasps of the small metal case using his fingerprint. As he opens it, there are two small vials laid in back styrofoam. One blue, one red.

My eyes widen at the sight. I have never seen anything like this before.

Vince rubs his hands in anticipation as he takes the red vial. The liquid in its glass container swirls around, slightly glowing.

''What the hell..'' I mumble, my eyes glued to it.

Vince holds it up, with pride. Like he is holding up his firstborn.

''This..'' He smiles widely. 'This is what's going to take over the world..''

I raise an eyebrow. Confused as to why he seems so confident.
Surely drugs aren't new, why is this so unique?

I feel my nervousness rising, but I try to play it off. Determined not to show any weakness.

Vince finds my confusion amusing as he holds the vial in front of my eyes.
''I call this the Vine.'' He smirks. ''And you, y/n will be the first one to use it...''

I narrow my eyes at him, gritting my teeth.

Before I can say anything else, he continues with his playfully charade.
''I told you before that you will have no choice. And the Vine will make sure of that.''

My expression softens as I feel my heart drop. His words start to slowly register.
I feel a cold sweat down my back, a slight panic setting in.

Is it..? No.. it can't be.

Vince watches my shocked expression, his smile growing even wider.

''Yes Y/n, I think you know exactly what this does..'' He says with a low, threatening tone.

''No..'' I manage to say, but my voice is nothing but a whisper. I am in shock, in complete disbelief that such a drug could exist. I can only imagine what kind of sick things will happen if this falls into the wrong hands.
