Cirus Hargrove stands in Steinford Academy's shadow - with a limp. His family is picture perfect in the eyes of Maine and his is.. not. No one really knows what goes on behind those huge Hargrove oak doors and no one ever will. When Cirus discovers family secrets, he puts the Hargroves at risk of their hard-worked-for name.
The two outsiders meet in the middle and form a connection that causes both of them to realize their love for each other. Most people shut down when they realize their partner has baggage but Vittoria and Cirus unpack together and sew soft spots for each other in their cruel worlds. This isn't a story of falling in love. This is a story of climbing and swimming in love, where bark meets heart and ocean meets soul.
