Nan HuaiLin didn’t talk to him, he just wrapped his arms around his neck and kissed him.

When Nan HuaiLin was filled with liquid nutrients, he couldn’t take it anymore and begged for mercy, so Fei Cheng let him go. Nan HuaiLin was drained of all his strength and was so tired that he could hardly open his eyes.

But he couldn’t close his eyes, he wanted to keep looking at Fei Cheng, he still had so many things to say to Fei Cheng.

“Little dragons…” After calling out in the bed all day, Nan HuaiLin’s voice was completely hoarse, “Is everything okay?”

“All good,” Fei Cheng caressed his cheek lovingly, “Four of the five eggs hatched and one is still unhatched, but the egg is still alive, so I guess it will take a while before it breaks its shell.”

“Then what should we do?” Nan HuaiLin asked worriedly, “Do you still have to go back to Undersea City?”

“No,” Fei Cheng said, “My brother said to just put it in the incubator and it will come out on its own when the time comes.”

“Why didn’t you bring the baby dragons back with you?” Nan HuaiLin asked again.

“They can’t take the airlines’ planes, they can only take private planes, and the procedure is quite complicated. I was thinking about you so much that I couldn’t wait any longer, so I came back alone first and left the dragon cubs to my brother.” Fei Cheng said, “I got off the plane at five o’clock, but the traffic jam was so bad that I couldn’t wait to become a dragon and fly to you, I was so anxious.”

“Are the dragon cubs now human or dragons?” Nan HuaiLin asked, “Are they boys or girls?”

“They are still young dragons, and my brother says it will take at least a year before they become human.” Fei Cheng said, “The four that have hatched now are all sons, and I especially hope that the one that hasn’t hatched yet is a daughter, so that we can have both genders.”

Nan HuaiLin smiled and said, “That would be great.”

Fei Cheng came over and kissed him, “Let’s make the most of our time together before the dragon cubs come back, because when they do, it’s going to be a big deal.”

Nan HuaiLin wondered, “Are they very naughty?”

Fei Cheng said, “They started fighting right after they came out of their eggshells, and I slapped them against the wall with one wing.”

Nan HuaiLin laughed and said, “They must think Daddy doesn’t love them at all.”

Fei Cheng rolled onto his back and gazed at him tenderly, “I love you the most.”

Somehow, tears came without warning.

Nan HuaiLin hurriedly closed his eyes to stop the tears, but the tears flowed more fiercely.

Fei Cheng was shocked, “What’s wrong, baby? Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry. Did I say something wrong? I’m sorry, baby, I’m sorry…”

Nan HuaiLin shook his head in a panic and looked at Fei Cheng with teary eyes, choking up and asking, “It must have hurt when you broke the dragon bone, right?”

“No, it didn’t hurt at all,” Fei Cheng lowered his head and kissed his tear stains, “It hurts my heart when you cry.”

Nan HuaiLin forced himself not to cry out, and asked, “Which bone was broken?”

Fei Cheng grabbed his hand and put it over the spot below his heart, “This one.”

Nan HuaiLin raised himself up and kissed the broken bone, his heart aching and tears pouring down.

Fei Cheng hugged him and sat up, cupped his face and wiped his tears, smiling, “Stop crying. Now that your face has turned into a little flower cat, do you want me to die of heartache?”

Nan HuaiLin looked at him and said, with a sobbing voice, “Is it… Is it worth it?”

Fei Cheng replied without hesitation, “Yes, it’s especially worth it.”

Nan HuaiLin shook his head, “No, giving up a thousand years of life for a few decades is not worth it at all. You fool. The biggest fool in the world.”

Fei Cheng was confused for two seconds, “What… What decades?”

He paused and asked, “What exactly did my brother tell you?”

What Fei Zheng said that day, Nan HuaiLin has been tossing and turning these past few months, so he remembered it especially well. He choked up and said, “He said that after breaking the forty-ninth dragon bone, you will age and die at the same normal rate as ordinary humans.”

“How dare you call me a fool? I think you’re a real fool.” Fei Cheng was so angry and happy that he held Nan HuaiLin’s face and said, “Stop crying, that guy Fei Zheng lied to you. Your husband won’t be that short-lived.”
