The following days passed strangely.

After the whole Trafalgar family, Dr. Frost, and her uncle Faidan had celebrated her recovery, Alessia had been avoiding Law like the plague and even restricted her playtime with Lammy to avoid crossing paths with him. She spent most of her time alone and had found a quiet place where no one would disturb her, in the room of an elderly patient who had recently undergone colon surgery.

"What are you running from?" She asked her one day.

For three consecutive days now, Alessia had joined her, sitting in the armchair and listening to the story of her life as a young girl before meeting her husband in Flevance, as she was from a neighboring island.

Alessia had shrugged. "Rejection," she said.

The elderly woman froze for a moment, lost in contemplative silence, only to reveal a statement that made Alessia burst into a nervous laugh a few minutes later :

"If you're the one running, can't we say that you're the one rejecting?"

Alessia had blinked several times, taken aback by the sudden seriousness of the elderly woman. Then, she gave in, because she was right. Alessia was the one who had rejected Law first.
