''There's a note attached, written to you.'' Mom chirped, sipping her warm black beverage.
Taking in the sight of the roses, I went to grab the note but noticed a blue box attached to it with a thin white ribbon and small white rose attached.
Shut the fuck up! Is that really a Tiffany and Co. box?
Holy shit it is.
Going for the box first, I got tutted by my mom who pointed to the note.
''But-''
''No buts, read it. We're all dying to see who it's from.'' Dad nodded his head in agreement, and with that I peeled the folded paper back from the envelope, taking the floral designed white card note. Flipping it open, It read;
'Good Morning Green eyes. You may be wondering why am I not around, well I have a lot to finish before later tonight. I also won't be seeing you at all today, not until I come to pick you up. Inside the box contains a gift that I think you might like.
I imagine it's ten am when you're reading this
He was right, but it was ten minutes past ten.
If I am correct, you should go get changed as yourself and Alexa have an appointment at your favourite nail parlour at eleven. You will both be having a manicure and pedicure, my gift to the two of you. Once you leave, you need to head back home, your make-up artist Clarissa and hair stylist Randy will be waiting for you and Alexa with Vero and Keana.
I will be there at five to pick you up. I hope today feels princess like to you, magical in all ways. Enjoy and please do not stress, today is a stress free day for yourself. See you soon beautiful green eyed Lauren. -Zachariah.'
Is it weird that I just got butterflies? Now he blew me away with the prom proposal and I didn't think he'd top it. Now I'm having second thoughts with it all, and my stomach is flipping with my head spinning around like crazy.
My mom had taken the card out of my hands, reading it out loud so everyone could hear what was written. Alexa had 'awed', same with Taylor. My mom had called him sweet and thoughtful and dad had agreed, saying he was a gentleman.
Now for the blue box. Removing the white ribbon, I pulled off the lid and found a white sheet covering the gift. Peeling it back, there it was. The bangle I had tried on once in the store in LA, the one I had browsed so many times over.
The signature Tiffany and Co. design, the Atlas narrow bangle in silver.
It was simple yet so beautiful. I loved the details of the roman numerals. God this must have cost him a lot.
''There's a little note inside.'' My dad mentioned, to which I read;
'Each beautiful person deserves a beautiful gift. Call it a late Christmas gift but more of a prom gift.'
Laughing to myself, I took the bangle and it was a perfect fit. It wasn't too tight and wasn't too big where it fell off.
Fuck, this day was only beginning and I wanted to die of happiness.
--
''Let's see the bangle, honey.'' Clarissa smiled, taking my hand and admiring the silver piece of jewellery. ''Oh wow, that is beautiful. He did well on that.''
He really did.
Nodding my head in agreement, I felt the butterflies once again. Vero and Keana had already got their make-up done, and were now sitting with Randy and his co-stylists. Alexa was first to have her make up done, which I was fine with. I needed to calm my nerves by talking with someone.
