The events of last night didn't go a miss, with worried looks on each of the girl's faces.
Dinah hadn't left my side, and Lauren had been more affectionate with her hugs, lingering a little longer than usual.
''I thought we weren't going to do this?'' I blurted out, tensing my jaw a little to calm myself. The pity was clear at points, and the sympathy was clouding it.
''What are you talking about?''
''Mila, you know what I'm talking about. Before you knew the reasons to the nightmares, y'all understood to not do worried thing. Now you know, you're looking at me like I'm on the verge of a break down. Or worse.'' I had to be blunt, especially to get my point across.
''Don't say it like that, geez.'' Mani spoke up first, looking like she soon regretted it. ''We aren't looking at you like the worse thing. We're just trying to adapt.''
''You have nothing to adapt to, you know the story. Well you know some of it, and you're already looking at me a whole lot differently when a nightmare happens.''
''I actually haven't been any type of way towards you.'' Lauren shrugged, trying to hide her face from me.
''So the long hugs aren't different? You don't usually give me a hug in the morning, nor do you tell me everything is going to be okay, Green eyes.''
She lifted her head up, a frown clear on her face as she quietly sniffled.
''Okay, look. I'll let this slide, and I'll let it slide a few more times. You're all trying to obviously understand what had happened, and me screaming and shouting doesn't help with that at nights. But you will have to learn to just deal with it, like I have. Nothing is going to change them from happening, unless I'm cuddling someone it seems.''
''I'll cuddle with you tonight.'' Dinah raised her hand, smiling a little. ''We could all kind of take in turns for a little while, because it's obvious you dislike them.''
''So a sympathy cuddle?''
''Zachariah, don't make me give you a poly beat down. Deal with the cuddles, got it?'' Her fist connecting with her palm, and I just nodded so I didn't deal with another long ass confrontation.
''Good boy.'' Dinah laughed, ruffling my hair up. My eyes narrowing on her as she just gave back the same, smirking.

''Hey, Lolo. How long until the actual date of your prom?'' I heard Camila ask once I took the earbuds from my ears, having hit the gym for a little over two hours.
''Two weeks tomorrow.'' It was a Wednesday afternoon today.
''So, are you excited to be going?''
''Yeah, it's just stressful. Picking a dress, hair and makeup. Picking shoes out and stuff.''
''What colour are you gunna pick?''
''Red. It's elegant and simple. But I want to make it not seem so simple, you know?'' Lauren laughed at herself, me still hiding away from the girls having shut the door quietly on my way in.
''Have you mentioned that Zac is your prom date to Luis?''
''Yep, he was pissed about it. But, I don't understand why. I and Zac are just friends, yeah I enjoy his company. And I do think he is very attractive as do all of us girls. I've seen you Camz check his ass out many of times. But again, we're just friends. And it seems okay for him to have a date, but the moment I do it's a big deal.''
''I think Zac will probably make it more memorable for you in all honesty. The whole prom proposal was adorable yet so god damn beautiful. And Zac is a lot more entertaining, no offence to Luis. But Zac has that charisma about him, it's his personality.''
