Chapter-five(CHATURTHI/PART-2)

"Jaanhvi, can you help me with the menu for Panchmi dinner?"
Shubang's request caught me off guard.

"Okay, I am coming" I replied

We arrived at an office space that resembled a chaotic storage room.

"Wow!! It's a complete mess here" I exclaimed.

Shubang explained
"All the decoration stuff is kept here
we had no other place."

"Why did you choose the community council room?"
I asked.

"Our family has been living here for 15 years, and I want to give back to society," Shubang replied humbly.

"You're such a sweet person"
I complimented, making him blush.

"Do you need help with anything?"
I offered.

"Yes,could you get that bundle of old menus from the cupboard?"
Shubang asked.

"Here you go!"
I handed him the menus.

We discussed the menu
"We need to choose six veg and three non-veg dishes."

Observing the options
I remarked
"These seem repetitive every year."

"Almost, yeah"
Shubang agreed.

"How about we create a new menu? Something fresh" I
suggested.

Shubang hesitated but eventually agreed, and after some research and discussion, we created a new menu for Panchmi dinner.

"Thank goodness, it's finally over"
I sighed, collapsing into a chair.

"Yeah, I feel the same"
Shubang admitted.

"Where to next?"
I inquired.

"We'll deliver this menu to the community council and then head out"
Shubang replied.

As we did just that, I asked
"Do we have anything else to do today?"

Shubang pondered and said
"I don't think so."

But I suddenly remembered
"Oh no, we're late for dance practice!"

"Oops! Let's hurry"
Shubang agreed.

At dance practice,Mitisha inquired about my dress.

"I got it"
I showed her a photo on my phone.

"It's beautiful; you'll look stunning," Mitisha complimented.

"I can't wait to see it myself"
I admitted.

"And mine too"
Alisha added.

"Let's continue practice from here" Mitisha decided.

"Please, can we speed it up a bit?"
I pleaded.

"Yes"
the other girls chimed in.

"Alright, let's get back to practice," Mitisha commanded.

After an hour of dancing, Mitisha asked Shubang and me to step into the middle.

"No, no, no!"
I protested.

"What's the problem?"
Mitisha inquired.

"My legs are hurting"
I confessed.

"You both need to dance together"
Mitisha ordered.

"Yes, ma'am" 
we reluctantly agreed.

Mitisha counted, and the song played. Shubang and I danced in the center.

"It was amazing"
Alisha praised.

"You two looked perfect together"
Mitisha added.

"What are you saying?"
I blushed, and Shubang agreed.

Mitisha continued with the choreography, and we practiced ignoring the question

The next day, my mom woke me up, excitedly announcing, "It's Panchmi!"

I could hardly contain my enthusiasm. Today was the day, a day filled with good food, dance, and celebration.
