Unedited Chapter 10

Vegas watched the silly trio roll in the grass and Macau and Chay smothered Wei Ying after he scored a goal. Macau and Chay were excited too, having Wei Ying around since their social circle was restricted due to security reasons it was challenging to invite their friends home. So they welcomed Wei Ying with open arms into their little bubble, though Porsche encouraged their friendship Vegas kept made sure to keep a steady eye on Wei Ying to which Kinn and Kim agreed.

His thoughts stirred when Porsche and Pete came to join them. Porsche was holding little Sora on his hips who was curiously staring at his uncles. When Chay tried to take him into his arms Sora buried his head into Porsche's neck. Which earned a pity pat from Macau while Wei Ying quietly stood behind, Macau called out to Sora and made him look at him, Vegas assumed that Macau made some weird animal sounds because that's what Macau does to get Sora's attention. However, he also earned a pity pat from Chay, which prompted him to push Wei Ying in front of them promoting him to call out to Sora.

Porsche ruffled Wei Ying's head with his free hand and encouraged him to take part in this childish competition. Wei Ying took a deep breath and adjusted his t-shirt, walked towards the table where the trio left their belongings, recently he started carrying a purple pouch with a lotus symbol in gold with him, Vegas noticed. He shyly approached Sora from behind and gently tapped on the shoulder and shook the pouch in front of him. Sora peeked at him sideways and when Wei Ying shook the pouch again, he saw Sora wriggle in Porche's hand and made grabby hands at Wei Ying to which Porsche cheerfully obliged.

Vegas could hear Chay and Macau calling it unfair as Wei Ying bribed Sora with a toy, complaining and surrounding Wei Ying who was carefully holding the baby. Pete and Porsche stood there calling the boys to call it quits.

Pete looked over to where Vegas was sitting and Vegas smirked at him which made Pete return his gaze for the first time in a long time as if he wasn't expecting to be there when he looked over. Pete averted his eyes again. It troubled Vegas, he needs to talk to Pete, but recently the deals and Kinn wanting to spend time with Sora have been keeping him incredibly busy. He texts Pete but Pete doesn't respond enthusiastically anymore, he is still flustered around Vegas which Vegas find tempting. Pete finds excuses saying he is busy or is helping Porsche or watching dramas with Tankhun or training. He even went to his hometown for a week or so to clear his head and said there isn't a good signal there to which Vegas called bullshit and stopped texting Pete. Their playful workplace flirting has become stale and yet when he sees Pete he couldn't help but be drawn to him.

Porsche saw him too and waved his hand, he took out his phone to read a text from Macau asking him to come down for snacks and move before Kinn and Kim arrive for dinner.

Porsche's Pov
Ever since Porsche read Wei Ying's file, Porsche couldn't help but feel a ping in his heart for the kid. The first week Wei Ying arrived he was asleep most of the time, hardly ate anything and only left the room when one of them came to get him out. There was the language barrier and it was helpful having Arm around who would translate for them. The kid was quiet it is given that he was adjusting, but from the Nie Huaisang's reports and the photos he was shown, Porsche knew that Wei Ying's bright personality was concealed and hidden somewhere hidden within him. Wei Ying can have all the time in the world now that he's here. Moreover, Wei Ying's mother Cangse felt familiar to him.

Porsche can talk to him now and then in English but not as fluently as Vegas, he hopes to one day. Wei Ying also seems to be doing his best to learn simple Thai words which sound adorable with his accent. Wei Ying was slowly adapting, he was comfortable around Porsche and the baby when Wei Ying insisted that he'll help change Sora's diaper when Porche had to urgently talk to P'Chan regarding a report. Porsche was vigilant about who had access to Sora, other than his family and closest bodyguards he was attentive around others. During his talk with P'Chan Porsche kept darting his eyes to Wei Ying who was cooing and talking softly to Sora while changing his diaper on the changing table on the other side of the room. He even fell asleep on Wei Ying's shoulders as he gently rocked him, quietly humming.
