set up pt 2 (ja'marr chase)

"over here, chase" i called out to him, he jumped a little in surprise but he had a shy smile on his face when he walked over to the passenger door.
"like the ride, so where are you taking me iz?"
"thanks, had it since i was 16, and that's a surprise, 'marr" i stated, pulling out of the spot i was in and driving away.

"so where are you taking me, izzy"
"that is still a surprise, but we are stopping for food first"
"only place i've been here is jeff ruby's, per joe's suggestion"
"well good for you i don't have the money to spend that much at dinner, so you'll be trying something new"
"well it's a good thing you're not paying for dinner at all" he remarked
"oh no, this is my date i'm paying" i sent him a small glare
"no you're not, you can plan it, i'm buying"
"you're relentless" i softly laughed.
"in more ways than one" he said, raising his eyebrows awaiting a reaction from me.
"alright hold your horses, that might happen later" i could see him pump his fist in a small cheer out of the corner of my eye, making me laugh.

i had decided beforehand that i didn't have a plan and i was just gonna do what came to my mind. what came to my mind now was nothing. skyline chili is no good on a first date, while is was very local, it's also fast food.

i thought about a restaurant by the river, buts i wanted to take him downtown, which only a select restaurants with terrible parking have a riverview.

so i decided to drive to otr, which had free parking on the weekends so it works for me. there was plenty to do and eat there and it was one of the nicest, safest place in the city.

after a surprisingly successful parallel parking job, we got out and began walking around.

"so where are we again" ja'marr asked, slotting his fingers in between mine as we walked down the sidewalk.
"well this is over the rhine cause it used to be over a canal. this city was started by germans too so there's plenty of breweries and alcohol here."
"nice, i mean alcohol is kinda what started this great thing here" he made a motion with his hand pointing to the both of us.
"sure" i squeezed his hand a little, "so here's finley market, it sells anything you could think of, including lots of food. there's sushi and korean food, over there is a sports bar. and would you look at who's face is on the poster." i said pointing toward a picture of joe with his uniform on in a small poster.
"you got a sharpie so we can draw on it" he asked.
"sadly i don't, but what's better than drawing on paper joe is real life joe"
"i like the way you think"

we finally settled, after walking around for a bit in the slightly cool, late april air, on eating at a local mexican restaurant, famous for its empanadas.

after a laughter filled dinner, i took ja'marr to the final place of the night, or the final planned destination cause i'm pretty sure 'marr is expecting a repeat of last night. not that i'm objecting to that either.

it was a park on the other side of the river that gave the best view of the cincinnati skyline.

"wow" ja'marr breathed out staring out at the sunset sky that gleamed over the skyline.
"wow is right" ja'marr looked down at me, taking his eyes off the view. i met his eyes, turning my head up to look at him.
"what are you looking at?" i asked, why was he staring in my direction when there was possibly the prettiest thing i've ever seen right in front of us.
"you, obviously." he said, leaving me no time to comprehend what he said before his hands found mine to pull me closer to him. "tonight was great, i really loved it and i really loved being with you." he looked straight into my eyes and connected his lips with mine.

i immediately found myself kissing him back. it was filled with as much adoration a kiss could be filled with. his hands cupped my face and mine rested on his neck. it didn't last as long as i wished when it started turning more lustful with his tongue looking to enter my mouth.
