Heels (Ja'marr Chase)

"And you're 100% on board with walking" Ja'marr asked while laying on your bed, waiting for you

"yes, the weather is pretty nice, and it's not that far away from here" you respond from the bathroom. You were both getting ready for a fancy, football event that Ja'marr was invited to. You were doing some touchups on your makeup and hair before leaving. He invited you as his date for the night. You guys had only been dating for 8 months so you hadn't moved in with each other yet. He had come to your house to pick you up since you lived way closer to the place than he did.

"okay just checking" 

A couple minutes pass and you walk out of the bathroom and holding two pairs of heels in your hands. "which one matches better with my dress."

Looking up from his phone he stared at you in awe, not bothering to answer your question, he stood up and walked over to where you were standing. "I mean i'd rather your dress off completely" he said putting his hands on your waist. 

You quickly press a kiss to his cheek, "not gonna happen, which shoes."

"you're no fun, umm the i like the one with glitter on it, i think it's like an accent to your black dress. Plus it compliments the jewelry you're wearing." he responded
"wow those were some big fancy words you just used there, are you okay?" you asked with a smirk on your face

He flicked your forehead in response to your comment. Laughing you said "okay let me just put my shoes on and then we can start walking."

"you take forever with everything." he groaned flopping back down on the bed.

You just rolled you eyes and sat down to put your shoes on. 10 minutes later you were locking the door to your shared apartment and starting to walk to the event hall. The walk would take about 15 minutes, it was a few blocks away. 

"you got the keys in your pocket" you asked pulling the jacket around your shoulder closer to your body.
"yeah they're right here, you cold?" he asked pulling you closer towards him by wrapping his arm around you.
"Just a little windyout  right now."

You both finally made it to the event, on came the thousands of people you would be introduced to throughout the night. There were some people with cameras by the entrance before you walked in. Not a whole lot, most of them were actually paid photographers by a couple teams that had players attending the local event. 

The whole thing was basically a get together for anyone involved in football within the city. There was people from the Bengals organization, University of Cincinnati, local high schools, and their plus ones. 

Walking in was overwhelming, there was people everywhere in the large event hall. You were thankful that Ja'marr was right by your side, he had his arm around your waist so you two could stay together and not get lost in the masses of people. Most of them were up talking to people or grabbing food to take back to some of the table set up near a stage.

Not to mention how loud it was. Even though there was no music or anything, just the sound of probably a couple hundred people talking to each other was making the whole area really loud.

"Do you want a drink!" Ja'marr said as loud as he could without yelling
"What!" you asked, it was far too loud for you to hear him.
"A drink!" he said bending down to your ear level.
"yeah sure do you see a bar somewhere"
"it's over here" he said leading you towards the bar, you couldn't see it over everyone else.

On the way to the bar there was multiple people that struck up a conversation with Ja'marr, you stood by and waited for him to introduce them to you. You weren't annoyed, it was expected that people would want to talk and sometimes meeting people is fun, until your social battery runs out. So far though, you weren't tired and were enjoying yourself in the moment.
