Fated Meeting

??: Come on now, you'll die if you don't eat

After finding a woman lying in the center of a ruined house out in the wilderness, a young man carried her back to Shiganshina within Wall Maria.

??: Come on, don't go out on me

The man grumbles as he holds a bowl of soup to the woman's mouth. The woman doesn't respond in any way and blankly stares at the ground beneath her

??: Jeez...

He sighs tiredly and slowly places the bowl aside

??: I'm D/n, I don't really have a job, but I collect stuff for money from time to time and I can cook pretty well

He looks at the woman's face and sighs

D/n: Right now we're in my home, it's a safe place where no one will bother you

The woman still didn't respond and laid frozen stiff in his bed

D/n:...Are you from someplace else?

The woman noticably tensed up before he continued

D/n: You from Wall Sina or something? This food not up to your standards even in the state your in?

He becomes increasingly agitated before he finally snaps

D/n: At least give me a name!

He huffs before looking closer at the woman's face. He noticed her pale complexion and faded eyes before hesitantly moving closer

D/n: Hey...you aren't dead right?

He reaches out and lightly shook her shoulder, her body cold to the touch

D/n: Hey! Dammit wake up! Hey!

He reached down to lift her up into a sitting position but his arms were immediately smacked away

D/n: Oh...Oh your alive...whew...

He breathed a sigh of relief as the woman slowly sat up and stared at him

D/n: I thought I lost you!

He chuckled and grabbed the bowl of soup

D/n: Here, the only way not to terrify me like that again is to eat and regain your strength

He tried again to persuade the woman to eat but she stared at him instead, a low raspy mumble leaving her lips

D/n: Eh? Did you...say something?

He tilts his head and leans closer to her

?:...M/n...

D/n: M/n?... So that's your name, huh? Well M/n, if you don't wanna starve to death, eating this soup is your best bet, alright?

To his surprise M/n slowly began eating the soup, causing D/n to sigh in relief

After some time had past and M/n convinced M/n to eat and drink regularly

M/n: So, do you remember when we first met?

M/n:... What...do you mean?

They sat together under a tree, eating breakfast across from each other

D/n: I recall seeing a distressed woman in search of something...and when I saw her miserable she was I was determined to get her to give up her search

He chuckled as he playfully stroked his chin

D/n: I also recall said woman pinning me down and threatening to slit my throat

M/n chokes on her food and coughs into her hand
