[ethan and chelsea are walking down the hall]

ethan: how do you not like stephen king novels...

chelsea: are you kidding me...they are so creepy...

ethan: oh c'mon...

chelsea: don't c'mon..me...i read the book..pet cemetary...and couldn't even finish as i was freaked

ethan: [chuckling] that's funny

[Elena & Bonnie]

Elena: did I miss something?

Bonnie: looks like they have been getting close

Elena: that's great...he seems like a nice guy

bonnie: well she deserves a nice guy...and not someone like tyler

[tyler and matt are standing by the lockers and look over and see ethan and chelsea laughing]

tyler: unbelivable..

matt: what

[tyler then gestures over to ethan and chelsea]

matt: dude..do yourself a favor...let it go

tyler: no way..man..chelsea is my girl..and this new guy just swoops in and thinks he can take her....no way...

matt: dude..listen...chelsea told you..she doesn't want to get back together..and i'm sorry to say...this new guy..he seems nice...and that he likes her....and she deserves that...

[matt then leaves as tyler stares daggers at ethan and chelsea who walk into a classroom]

[ethan is getting something out of his locker and tyler sees him and walks over]

tyler: hey man

[ethan then looks over and nods to tyler]

ethan: oh..um...hey...you're the guy from the other night...

tyler: yea...name is tyler...

ethan: ethan...so i take it you're friends with chelsea?

tyler:kinda..i mean..we kinda..got something going on

ethan: really...cause she didn't seem like she was seeing anyone..

tyler: well i mean we are kinda keeping it quiet...

ethan: then if you got something going on..why did you say she is heartbreaker...

tyler: we got into a fight..she just went out with you..to make me upset...but we made up...so i just thought...you should know...before you get too attached...

ethan: yea...i get it......thanks for looking out...

tyler:anytime..

[tyler then walks away as ethan looks upset]

[next day]

[school]

[chelsea is at her locker and smiles when she sees ethan]

chelsea: hey

[ethan then looks at chelsea and nods]

ethan: i gotta get to first..see ya..

[chelsea then looks disappointed and caroline walks by]

caroline: what's going on

chelsea: i don't know...he seemed fine yesterday...
