"This is an extremely competitive field and if it weren't for your outstanding academic history, field training, and Dr. Blake's persuasiveness this would be a pretty difficult position to secure." His voice was monotone as was the rest of his overall demeanor, but there was certainly something intriguing about Aaron Hotchner.
"I understand Sir. I'm more than grateful or the opportunity but I would like to add that I've worked for this. I don't need anything handed to me"
"I can see that" he spoke and if I didn't know any better I'd say there was a smirk hinting at the corner of his lips. "You like to earn your rewards"
My thighs clenched slightly at the way he worded his sentence and his sultry tone of voice.
"I guess you could say that" I bit my bottom lip slightly, praying that he wasn't too focused on my micro expressions and body language.
"So, you'll be a temporary member of the team until we can make a full assessment on your capabilities. However, every move you make, every decision, goes through me. Understood?"
"Yes Sir" I nodded and stood with him.
"We have a case and I hoped you packed your go bag. We're heading to Minnesota"
The team gathered in a room with one round table and nine chairs. I sat between Emily and Aaron and across from Alex.
"Our technical analyst Penelope Garcia, this is Agent Y/l/n" Hotch said while never looking up from the case files.
"Please, call me Y/n" I smiled at the colorful blonde woman standing before us all.
"Nice to meet you, my friends call me wonderful" she smiled before diving into the case.
There was a series of robbery turned homicides in the state capitol, Saint Paul. Four home invasions, six bodies, over the the course of three weeks.
"are we sure the robberies aren't just a counter measure?" Rossi said.
The one and only David Rossi was leaning against the door frame. I had read all of his books at least twice. He was my celebrity and I was now in the same room as him.
"Rossi, this is Agent Y/l/n" Alex smiled at me.
"I'm a huge fan of your work Sir, it's truly a pleasure" I shook his hand and he gave me a friendly smile.
"See kids, there are some people who actually care what I have to say" he teased the rest of his team members before sitting down.
"as of right now we have little information so I'm hoping we'll uncover more once we get there. Everyone wheels up in 30" Hotch stood and everyone dispersed.
"I can give you a ride to the jet" Emily smiled and urged me to follow her. "it can be overwhelming, especially with this being your first day."
"A bit, but I'm excited and happy to be here"
"well that makes two of us then" she bit her lower lip and averted making eye contact with me.
Did Emily Prentiss just flirt with me? No, I thought to myself, but I guess there was a part of me that wanted to believe she did. She was by far one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. I mean, artfully stunning. I had been with both men and women in the past but I decided I didn't want to put a label on myself. They felt too confining in my opinion.
"So, how old are you?" she glanced over at me.
"25"
"Holy shit, I'm officially old" she chuckled.
